A winding path...but guided ever so securely: August 2007
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Friday, August 24, 2007. While I was in Jos, I got to see the ministries of both my Uncle Randy and Aunt Adena. My uncle works in discipleship, mentoring men to be godly Christians, and my aunt works with preparing Sunday School materials for churches in Nigeria. Below are some pictures of what both of them are doing. They even have prepared Pilgrim's Progress in Hausa (one of the 3 main languages in Nigeria). One of the pictures for the book is shown here.

A winding path...but guided ever so securely: The Last Supper
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2013/12/the-last-supper.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Sunday, December 08, 2013. We celebrated Communion at church today, and I learned something new. I think that in Jesus' time, the Jews had modified the original Passover to include 4 cups of wine. These were based on Exodus 6:6-7 and 4 promises God made to the Israelites. I am the Lord, and. 1 I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 2 I will free you from being slaves to them, and. I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God.".

A winding path...but guided ever so securely: another sodium culprit
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2013/08/another-sodium-culprit.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Sunday, August 04, 2013. I'm now looking on all items I buy to see how much sodium is in it - yes, I'm becoming a bit of a geek when it comes to stuff like this.I acknowledge it, I confess it. But guess what I just found out? For each teaspoon - teaspoon, that is! Of chicken broth, guess how much sodium is in a teaspoon? 510 mg in ONE teaspoon! It comes in various forms - note, this is not just salt - what I discovered was in the chicken broth is as follows.

A winding path...but guided ever so securely: July 2008
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Thursday, July 31, 2008. Recently, I've felt like a lesson I've been learning has to do with waiting on God, not trying to rush forward before him, not trying to force God into anything and, most of all, not getting anxious in the process as I impatiently wait for God to work. I found myself challenged to not try and push ahead of God and sort things out and make rash decisions that I might later regret. So I found myself learning to wait on God! And I'm still ...

A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Wednesday, August 06, 2008. A day of fun and laughter. I was working for Raewyn out in Langley the other day, and we were sitting at the lunch table eating. Somehow we got on the topic of fractions, and how difficult Maia finds them (she's 8). So I added my 2 bits worth - "it's ok, Maia, you know what? I still struggle with fractions! She looks at me and exclaims - "Esther, you're HOW old? Raewyn and I just killed ourselves laughing. Brought to you by. This was...

A winding path...but guided ever so securely: January 2008
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Saturday, January 12, 2008. The thought ran through my mind, they should have a sign on the front of the book that says "Caution: may cause crying". :) But it was beautiful! Brought to you by. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Being confidant of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion, until the day of Christ Jesus. As a prisoner for the Lord, then (apostle Paul speaking), I urge you to. A winding path...but guided ever so securely: Hope
http://ejwarkentin.blogspot.com/2015/08/hope.html
A winding path.but guided ever so securely. Sunday, August 02, 2015. Many times I think to myself.hmm. I should share that experience, that journey with others. But alas, most often, nothing comes of it. I may enter it in my personal journal, but not in a public forum where I can share the journey with others. But today, today is a new day! And one where I actually am going to share something with anyone who's still hanging on, periodically checking the blog I haven't written in for nearly 1 1/2 years!
