The Knowledge Redux: September 2006
http://tkredux.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
An unconscionably pretentious attempt at erudition. Thursday, September 07, 2006. A friend of mine once told me she thought John Updike’s. So it is with a bit of crass and flippant zeal that Updike tackles what many regard to be his magnum opus (indeed, two of these books won Pulitzer prizes). Was published in 1990 and is the last in the series, save for the novella. Posted by RD @ 7:53 PM. View my complete profile. Fieldwork, by Mischa Berlinski. Pastoralia, by George Saunders. Snow, by Orhan Pamuk.

Monday, September 13, 2010. That is the best word I can use to describe this book. I would also use INTRIGUING, too! And while it sounds weird, it ISN'T! And you should read it! One of my all time faves. I couldn't put it down, and ended up reading it in just hours. SoDavid and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary last week and we thought "Let's do something fun! An unconscionably pretentious attempt at erudition. Wednesday, December 06, 2006. A long wait has produced a fine review by the dependable Ms. Josselyn. We hope that this submission will spark a flurry of holiday reviews from those contributors whose hands have lain still these past months. - RD. It could just as easily have taken its moniker from the other element in Keats’ venerable equation. Set in a small college town,. In these in-between times, what she tells are the smaller realities of life, the ...

The Knowledge Redux: December 2005
http://tkredux.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
An unconscionably pretentious attempt at erudition. Friday, December 30, 2005. As editor, I'm proud to say that TKR has been fecund of late. Its contributors have been working hard at penning new reviews and the results are there for the readers to enjoy. Perhaps it's the spirit of Christmas in the air. Anyway, here is a review of mine on Evelyn Waugh's. Which admittedly doesn't interact with the book itself much at all. - RD. Though one of his signature achievements, is more of a modern classic; reachin...
