Five Good Things That Happened In My Life This Week. On: April 1, 2011. It’s been a pretty good week, which was much-needed after the miserable state that I was in just a few weeks ago. I’m not 100% but I’m feeling better. So…Five Good Things That Happened In My Life This Week:. I talked to my dad. My big project is turning out to be a success. My new site is ready to go. The Art of Re . . .: November 2009
http://theartofres.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 30, 2009. 82 G's for giving attitude? Serena Williams was fined $82,500 for US Open outbrust. If she has another "major offense" at a Grand Slam tournament in that time, the fine would increase to $175,000 and she would be barred from the following U.S. Open. But if she does not have another offense in the next two years, the suspension is lifted. Williams' $82,500 fine nearly doubles the previous highest fine for a Grand Slam offense - about $48,000 Jeff Tarango was docked in the 1990s.

Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Originally uploaded by Juxtaposition. All along Pratt Street (and other places) in downtown Baltimore, the city has turned old parking meters into deposit devices for the homeless. The Downtown Partnership periodically empties them and uses the money toward shelters, food collection and other services for Baltimore's homeless. A grand gesture, indeed, but I wonder how effective it is. Image taken with an Olympus E-500 using an OM 50mm f/1.8 lens. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Down a...

Monday, April 21, 2008. Originally uploaded by Juxtaposition. Down along Falls Road in Baltimore City (near the North Avenue Light Rail station) is the Baltimore Streetcar Museum. (Depending on your point of view) strewn along the roadway are abandoned and rusting hulks of streetcars from days past. Streetcars from earlier iterations of mass transit in Baltimore and rail companies long gone. There are even PCC cars from Philadelphia's Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.
