In 1991 ben ik toegelaten tot de opleiding saxofoon Lichte Muziek aan het conservatorium te Groningen. Tijdens mijn studie heb ik les gehad van docenten Peter Tjeerdsma, Jan Schoemaker, Henny Kluvers, Dick de Graaf en heb ik workshops gevolgd bij o.a Lee Konitz en Bob Berg. In 1997 behaalde ik mijn diploma docerend musicus. Na mijn afstuderen heb ik incidenteel lessen gevolgd bij Dick de Graaf en Rolf Delfos.

Spelen in een band. Een muzikaal project rond de Cubaanse Charanga-muziek waarbij zang en strijkinstrumenten centraal staan. De cursus start op 8 maart 2016 en wordt op 14 mei 2016 afgesloten met een openbaar concert in de Neushoorn waarbij zangeres Denise Rivera speciale gast is. Video van Orquesta Aragon.

Saxofoonles voor beginners en gevorderden. De lessen worden gegeven in mijn lesruimte op de Hemrik in Leeuwarden. De lessen worden op een moderne en afwisselende manier ingevuld d.m.v. begeleidings-CD's , duetten en lesmethodes . Daarnaast begeleid ik leerlingen op de piano. Naast het bladmuziek leren lezen is er ook veel aandacht voor de auditieve aanpak: het op het gehoor leren naspelen van favoriete nummers en het zelf iets leren bedenken. De lessen worden gegeven in het Nederlands, Engels of Fries.

Bands

B and M latinband. De B &M latinband is een echt salsa-orkest met alles er op en eraan. Salsa-klassiekers van o.a Oscar d'Leon, Tito Nieves maar ook de salsa van nu, latin-hits, merengue en bachata. Het enthousiasme straalt van de band af tijdens een optreden. Een echt feest is niet compleet zonder de B &M latinband. Mangrove is de band rond de Angolees-Congolese zanger Basile Maneka Lukadi. In 1993 is Basile in Leeuwarden komen wonen en speelt sindsdien als singer-songwriter en in diverse bands.
