This weekend was busy but fun! I went to the movies with my mom and gram to see "The Secrete Life of Bees" on Saturday at the Cedar Lee. All three of us read the book so we wanted to see how the movie turned out! It was quite a good movie and even if you've never read the book you woul. Certainly enjoy it. I was pretty impressed by Dakota Fanning too. I really wasn't sure how she would fair with such a strong cast. I also got to see previews (which are my fav. Part of going to see movies! Busy for me lat...

Day 1: I think I might throw up. So today was Day 1 of my 30 day Tracy Anderson Challenge! I was going to start on October 1st but I didn't get up early enough which was good because, J and I went to Red Robin for dinner last night. Yum is all I have to say about that! Getting back to business! I've read through most of the book and decided it was time to begin the supposed torture. Let me say that my trepidation is not unfounded as she writes this about what to expect from the first few days:. Seriously...

Two weeks ago, I woke up and felt overwhelmingly content. Just satisfied. Of course there are things that I would change if I had a magic wand, but in general I just felt so good about where I am in life right now. Two days later I found out I wouldn't have a job at the end of the month. You know what? That didn't change how I felt. Charlie asked me the other day if I really spent close to a half hour in T1. Yes! And I did. All 2 hours and 33 minutes of it! That is sooo slow! Race I do it the way that fe...

In case you haven't heard, there is a hurricane hitting the east coast, as well as Ohio. Yesterday was a run day for me and today was expected to bring worse weather! October Training - 10/21/12-10/27/12. This week was a GREAT week of running! The weather was wonderful - super warm and sunny or complete Fall weather, rainy with a chill. Regardless of the day, the trails rocked and I finished strong each time. Sigh. It was just that good people! Week 7 Day 1 - 5 min warm up, jog for 25 mins, 5 min cooldown.

Frosty 5 Race Report-of sorts. Happy belated Christmastime everyone! I've been bad at blogging. :( As a result I will post a final training post and race report next Monday after the New Years Eve race! Christmas Eve I ran the Frosty 5 in Hudson. It was a great race and well attended! Overall I ran a good race. I started off a bit too fast and didn't dress warm enough so I froze through the last two miles but I came in right around where I thought I would and that made me happy! I felt good most runs but...

Last night I was having an email discussion with my coach about my (stupid) right quad and when things started going South. I sat and thought and thought and thought, then I remembered my training journal! I've always kept track of workouts in some way, sometimes haphazardly or inconsistently but this year is a bit different. For Christmas I asked for this amazing training journal. If you don't have a physical journal to track all this stuff I'd suggest you get one! Or "feeling stuffy" or "quick legs!
