A Desert Rose: July 2011

http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Friday, July 08, 2011. The Rainy Pacific Northwest. It has a Bavarian theme and is very touristy. however the Wenatchee National Forest borders the town and that is where we actually did get to do some climbing. We climbed a route called Outer Space, and it's one of the best routes i've climbed anywhere, ever. So we did end up getting to do a little climbing after all. Coming back liz couldn't fit everything into her bags so she carried on her sleeping bag. we tucked ourselves in for a little nap. We als...

Andy Sherpa: January 2015

http://slcsherpa.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

A Journal of Adventure and Training in the Wasatch and Beyond. Saturday, January 31, 2015. Lone Peak Always Provides. We decided to head up Lone Peak again since it's been so nice lately. Having climbed it twice from Alpine this year, we made the easy choice to ascend from Bells since it's a bit of a short cut.at least it short cuts the drive. Aaron Smith joined me and JD and we went up searching for the entrance to a chute we bypassed when skiing the NE Couloir last week. JD easing into the business.

A Desert Rose: June 2011

http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 19, 2011. I just returned from a 3 day, 2 night white water rafting trip with my family around the Buena Vista, Colorado Arkansas River. It was an amazing trip. While the exact canyons we were hoping to float were closed due to unseasonably high water due to snow-melt, we floated other sections of the ARkansas River which proved to be as much excitement as we needed! A fresh spring bubbling up next to the river. Relaxing during a rare moment of still (ish) water. Modeling our lovely wet suits.

Jason and Lars getting ready for the drive to Lacky Basin. Jason skinning up Peale with South Mountain in the background. Lars heading up Peale with Tuk and red canyonlands beyond. You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Sunday, December 19, 2010. Guatemala in 3 Weeks (Not Nearly Enough Time). I have noticed that the longer we are on the road, the more time elapses between blog posts. So here we are with our one and only blog post for Guatemala, which by the way, is an absolutely amazing country. Loving one-on-one Spanish class. A teacher's dream, right? With Dona Blanca in her kitchen, and delicious chicken noodle soup. A treat since it was so cold. Saturday, December 4, 2010.

mark & katie: In the absence of snow, why not sled on ash?

http://regiermototravels.blogspot.com/2011/01/in-absence-of-snow-why-not-sled-on-ash.html

You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Wednesday, January 5, 2011. In the absence of snow, why not sled on ash? Is it possible that I have missed an entire country? I noticed that our last blog post was from Guatemala. Currently, we are in Nicaragua. In between those two countries though, we spent three weeks and two major holidays in Honduras. How time flies. The ruins of Copan. Beautiful scarlet macaws that are all over the ruins site. The all-powerful jaguar that is depicted at all Mayan sites.

A Journal of Adventure and Training in the Wasatch and Beyond. Monday, January 27, 2014. Monday on the Timpanogos Massif. Some one told me that the best camera is the one that is on hand. Jason has been bringing a DSLR and taking some amazing photos. I've had my Iphone and have been glad for at least that. The mountains have been really beautiful lately, perhaps enhanced by the contrast to the gnarly pollution. Here are some pics from another great visit to Utah County:. A Desert Rose: My Birthday Adventure

http://pedacus.blogspot.com/2011/05/my-birthday-adventure.html

Tuesday, May 17, 2011. By the time we made it down to the parking lot the sun was just about shining again, and our friend Mark (who was also rained off a different climb) was grilling sausages in the parking lot. He grilled me a happy birthday sausage, which warmed me right back up. It turned out to be a perfect day! Warm and happy.before the storm! Ahhh the desperate rappel as the lightening was striking. This pic doesn't do justice to how completely soaked we were. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

You've Been Riding that Thing for How Long? Thursday, June 24, 2010. Adventure is overrated (Part II). We had the summit all to ourselves which is kind of rare in Colorado, and the view was fantastic. It eventually got dark, and with one meager headlamp, we stumbled down the trail to our campsite. 15 hours round trip to the summit of Crestone Needle and back. At least I'm wearing a 'Dukes of Hazard' shirt. Thursday, June 17, 2010. This is supposed to be our honeymoon! This isn't fun anymore- at all. ...

Winter wasn’t done yet, fresh snow on May 17th! The weather cleared and we got to climb the Chere couloir on the Tacul. Such a great day. After a late start, we at least set the booter for the start to the Chere couloir to try again tomorrow if the weather allows. You don’t know till you try…. Hard to beat fresh tracks down the Vallée Blanche. We climbed the north face of the Aig. Petit Vert and the went for a tour up the Argentiere basin. Such a spectacular place. Arête des Cosmiques. It finally snowed ...

January 12th, 2014. The other night a friend and I. After some deliberation we settled on Mt. Watatic, at 1800 feet in elevation it would get us above much of the surroundings. And with an open summit and no major towns or cities to the north, we figured this would be our best shot without having to travel too far. We arrived the summit and were greeted with clear skies and no wind. But sadly no light show to the north. Looking north from the summit. Mt Wachusett lit up for skiing. October 4th, 2013.

The first line would be a typo that you made, and the second line allows you to 'fix' the typo.
