Close All LabVIEW Windows Except One « Eyes on VIs

http://blog.eyesonvis.com/2012/09/21/close-all-labview-windows-except-one

A perspective on VI Development from a member of LabVIEW R&D. Close All LabVIEW Windows Except One. Sep 21st, 2012 by Christina in "Hidden" Features. I heard a feature request today for a menu item for “Close all windows but this one.”. It’s a reasonable request, but I’m not sure it’s worth adding an item to the (already large) set of menus in LabVIEW today. That’s because there’s already a way to close windows other than visiting them one by one: the All Windows. From the menu, select Window All Windows.

A perspective on VI Development from a member of LabVIEW R&D. Jul 26th, 2013 by Christina in NI Week. It’s almost time for NIWeek 2013. This year I will be presenting Bookmark API in LabVIEW 2013. On Wednesday, August 7, at 1:00PM in Room 16A. Bookmarks are a new feature in the next release of LabVIEW. In this session you will learn how to integrate bookmarks into your own tools or create your own Bookmark Manager. (Session ID: TS2171). I’ve looked over the NIWeek session list. http://blog.eyesonvis.com/2014/08/06/quickbold

A perspective on VI Development from a member of LabVIEW R&D. Aug 6th, 2014 by Christina in "Hidden" Features. Have you ever been editing text in LabVIEW and tried to use Ctrl-B to make text bold? It doesn’t work, because Ctrl-B is the keyboard shortcut for Remove Broken Wires. In LabVIEW 2013 and later, however, you can use Ctrl-B to make text bold with the INI token QuickBold=True. The reason this can work is that Remove Broken Wires. From the Text Settings. Comments have been closed for this post.

A perspective on VI Development from a member of LabVIEW R&D. Moved to New Web Host Successfully. Aug 12th, 2014 by Christina in Administrivia. A colleague at NI has helped me move Eyes on VIs to a new host. You should continue to have uninterrupted access to all the existing content. August 13, 2014 at 3:16 pm. Congrats on the move, even though we can’t really tell the difference. 🙂. Well it feels fresh. It has that new car smell. Comments have been closed for this post. And The Essayist by squarefour.

Binding Keys to Buttons. Thursday, November 12, 2009. Binding Keys to Buttons. One project I worked on required a keyboard handler. Basically a handheld unit was being simulated on the computer and we wanted keyboa rd shortcuts for all the keys that could be pressed. The only problem with LabVIEW is that buttons on the front panel can only have function keys bound to toggle them. Char - the hex value for the ascii character. Updating the User Interface. Wednesday, August 5, 2009. Updating the User Interface. Have you ever had trouble updating a chart when using a slider to control the axis? I have tried using event cases that run on:. Value change - updates but in a clunky manner. Mouse up - you don't always mouse up over the slide after dragging it. Drag end - does not update on the fly, so there is no feedback. At my company ( CPE. The trick here is to enqueue. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Australian NI Alliance Members.
