Our brave girl, Elizabeth. Saturday, 21 July 2007. Lizzie with high fever on Thursday night. The diagnosis was Viral Bronchiolitis. Thank God, the chest x-ray showed no sign of pneumonia. That night was extremely tiring and stressful - Simon and I stayed over with her, but didn't have much rest, as parents have to look after their own kids in the ward. Elaine gave birth to Elizabeth Lee on the 9 August 2006, at 8:09AM. Lizzie is still in Neonatal ICU, with the congenital heart condition and suspected immune deficiency. She is currently on medication to keep her blood vessels enlarged so that enough oxygenated blood flows through her body. Thanks for your prayers, Simon. Links to this post.

And in the afternoon some more. Today is Maundy Thursday, and the heavens have already opened, pelting us with a very noisy, heavy thunderstorm. This is very 'retro' song came to mind. It's hardly sung nowadays in contemporary churches, but I think the simple lyrics and tune speak volumes. I can face tomorrow.

The doctors were so pleased with her progress we were able to discharge today - just 3 days after extubation!
