votinglinks: August 2006
http://votinglinks.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
A blog on representative democracy, voting and elections. Monday, August 14, 2006. Grassroots Founders, on voting: Alexander Hamilton. We must submit to this idea, that the true principle of a republic is, that the people should choose whom they please to govern them. Representation is imperfect; in the proportion as the current of popular favor is checked. The great source of free government, popular election, should be perfectly pure, and the most unbounded liberty allowed. ". The average turnout for a...

Scotch, Smoke, Fire and Chocolate. Apr 22nd, 2009 at 6:33 PM. So, like many in my area, I have what we call a "deep freeze" in the basement. Mom and Dad bought it so long ago that I do not have a memory of it never being there. It still works like a champ! The problem is that some of the shelves are more than 12" from the next shelf. To me, this seemed like a waste of space. So I went hunting on line for things like "freezer shelf dividers" and such. No such luck. Morris County, NJ. Like I said. simp...

Take Back America: I hate any senator who does not support Russ Feingold
http://civan93-politicalrants.blogspot.com/2006/03/i-hate-any-senator-who-does-not.html
Xml/rss: http:/ feeds.feedburner.com/PoliticalRants. Tuesday, March 14, 2006. I hate any senator who does not support Russ Feingold. First, I'd like to welcome the senator to the "Eugene McCarthy, speaking the blatant, plain truth, and being called radical by the Washington entrenchment" club. Senator Feingold, you have my. Support. But I know, that isn't enough, you need the support of your peers. The peers who are just too weak to stand up to lies and corruption. Bollocks. They can't investigate be...

Take Back America: Class war?
http://civan93-politicalrants.blogspot.com/2006/01/class-war.html
Xml/rss: http:/ feeds.feedburner.com/PoliticalRants. Sunday, January 15, 2006. I'm beginning to believe in the class war being waged by the Bush administration. However, its interesting to me that the Republicans are not representing the rich, but rather the poor. Specifically the uneducated poor. So the class war is setup to be the uneducated poor against the educated and wealthy. What does this sound like? Any students of history out there? Posted by obscurity at 1:55 AM. Couldnt have said it better.

Xml/rss: http:/ feeds.feedburner.com/PoliticalRants. Saturday, November 06, 2004. Keep the Democratic message clear and separate. I strongly disagree with the notion that Democrats should incorporate. More of the Republican message into their platform. We need. Democratic leaders, not Republican followers. That is one of the. Major failings of this election, Mr. Kerry made an appeal to Mr. Bush's core audience and in so doing, failed to convey an alternative. Posted by obscurity at 2:51 AM. Now, I want t...

Take Back America: Developing conventional ballistic missiles, Arkin misses the point
http://civan93-politicalrants.blogspot.com/2006/01/developing-conventional-ballistic.html
Xml/rss: http:/ feeds.feedburner.com/PoliticalRants. Wednesday, January 25, 2006. Developing conventional ballistic missiles, Arkin misses the point. Arkin discusses the conversion of Trident missiles to conventional warheads from their current nuclear status. He discusses the motivations for this, and finds them largely to be financial, pushed by the defense contractors and STRATCOM. I strongly disagree. For the first time since intercontinental ballistic missiles were "captured" in arms control treatie...
