Between ex-classmates, old co-workers, and LA associates, I usually catch at least one televised acquaintance a week, pontificating on the election or fall fashion trends or Britney's latest breakdown. And if my mood is bad or my confidence low, I invariably mope and wonder, Why aren't I. And then I remember: Because I'm a liar. What a cute dog! Oh, thank you! Is it a boy or a girl?

Aunque no me gusta poner dos entradas de lo mismo, esta vez tengo que hacer una excepción para este gran monumento, hecho con gusto y (supongo) que con devoción, aunque también con un coste prohibitivo, pero ha dado otro lugar (tal vez el más importante) a la capital de Emiratos Árabes Unidos para la peregrinación tanto religiosa como turística. En cierta manera me recuerda muy especialmente a la Mezquita de Hassan II en Casablanca.
