The Have A Go Runner. Giving It A Bash. June 15, 2012. According to Diabetes UK. There are 2.9 million people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK. And an estimated 850,000 people who have the condition but don’t know it. It is type 1 diabetes that saw my brother’s life completely turned upside down when he was hospitalised by it last year. In my family your leg needs to be hanging off before anyone thinks your illness is serious. We are all very lucky that he ignored these digs and went to the doctor anyway.

The Have A Go Runner. Giving It A Bash. June 8, 2012. Me looking like a drowned rat after the race. Well, I have to say that I am very proud of myself. Even in the pouring down rain I managed to complete the Carnegie 5k fun run. In about 40 minutes. Which considering I haven’t really run that far before isn’t bad. We all took part in a zumba warm up, it was pretty fun watching seasoned runners trying to shake what their momma gave them. This picture doesn’t do the mud justice. Newer post →.
