http://runisthenewwalk.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Run is the New Walk. In the summer of 2010, shortly after my second son was born, I took to the roads using the Couch to 5K program. I loved it. I was feeling strong, and improving all the time. And then? Winter happened. What is happening now is the fight to reclaim the endurance and fitness that I lost in the worst winter (weather wise) that I can remember! Thursday, February 10, 2011. I remember this feeling. It is like an old friend,. Long separated by busy lives,. How happy the reunion! Love the wor...

BGoody Lose: January 2012

My goal is to lose 150 lbs! Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Whatever we are working on, mulling over, avoiding, contemplating facing, or rehearsing in our minds becomes literal. It's you and the thing and the thing becomes the hill and there you are — taking it on. There is a certain amount of clarity that oxygen deprivation provides. Couple that with pain and you get the inner hum that becomes white noise and suddenly you can think. Kristin Armstrong, Stones, Mile Markers blog, Runner's World.com. A study I ...

http://sportygirljewelry.blogspot.com/2011/08/me-at-13.html
Thursday, August 18, 2011. I am assistant coaching our junior high volleyball team for the second time this year. We collect all the usual forms including the sports physical from each player. I normally don't look at them - just file them and move on. Today I glanced at one as a mom handed it to me and a few words the doctor had written jumped off the page. Would like to weigh less. I read them and my heart broke. I could feel the blood pounding in my ears as I felt what this girl is feeling. I don't fe...
