Putting on My Spiritual Armor: Jesus had 12, I have 11
http://chelsealyndilbeck.blogspot.com/2014/07/jesus-had-12-i-have-11.html
Putting on My Spiritual Armor. Thursday, July 31, 2014. Jesus had 12, I have 11. I experienced a profound lesson this week at work as I struggled to lead and mentor my 11 staff, amidst a divisive time of low morale. God moved in miraculous ways as we sat around a large table on Wednesday and talked about gossip and how to respect one another. It was beautiful to see these young women open up their hearts, while listening wholeheartedly to one other do the same. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone.

Putting on My Spiritual Armor: July 2013

Putting on My Spiritual Armor. Saturday, July 13, 2013. Though you cannot go back and have a brand new start, you can start now and have a brand new end." John Maxwell. Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone. Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Dont lose hope- We know our ending! Even amidst moments of "despair", I knew enough in my heart to pray against it and to trust that I was not without hope. Or "Just hang in there a little longer. You'll survive because your rescuer is on his way! It's the same with us as be...

Grandpa Ralph's Corner: POST 39
http://grandparalphscorner.blogspot.com/2009/07/post-39.html
Saturday, July 11, 2009. Thought for the day:. The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of anything. 8230;……………………………………………………. This has been a busy week. Strange, too, because Grandma’s calendar didn’t have much of anything marked on it so we thought we’d have the whole week to kind of lay back and relax. Ha! That pretty well shot Monday and Tuesday; but wait! Labels: A Day In The Life Of. July 11, 2009 at 6:13 PM. July 11, 2009 at 10:45 PM.

Grandpa Ralph's Corner: August 2009
http://grandparalphscorner.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 17, 2009. Thought for the day:. Today is the day to make memories. Being a teenager in the 1940s was considerably different than being one in today's society. Although there were none of the $100 per pair sneakers, i-pods, cell phones etc., there. How hard could it be? Sounded like my kind of job- just sit in the shade and pick up pieces of fruit; and for that I'd get 12 cents a lug. What a deal! Bend over, pick them up,. Put them in a large hug. Neither did I, but I soon learned. Afte...

Grandpa Ralph's Corner: Post #35

Sunday, June 21, 2009. Thought for the day:. Our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become. 8230;…………………………………………………. These, I believe, are some of the qualities that shape the man, that separate the winners from the also-rans. These are the qualities that defined and sustained Emmett’s life for more than 97 years. Happy Father’s Day, Dad! Labels: Fathers Day 2009. June 21, 2009 at 9:43 PM. I love you, Dad. June 21, 2009 at 10:35 PM.

Stuff About Things: Weekend in SF
http://maui1984.blogspot.com/2009/05/sf-trip.html
Saturday, May 16, 2009. A couple weekends ago, Chelsea and I went on a little trip to San Francisco. It was a nice, relaxing, and very rainy weekend. It was really great to spend time just the two of us. It sounds strange considering we live together, but the truth is we actually don't see each other much with our busy schedules. Then, we stayed for the Giants game. Well, most of it anyway. We left when they were behind 5-0 and it started raining. May 16, 2009 at 10:36 PM. I'm glad to find out that I'm n...

Putting on My Spiritual Armor: April 2013
http://chelsealyndilbeck.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Putting on My Spiritual Armor. Monday, April 29, 2013. The difference between happiness and joy is the difference between a human emotion that's connected to circumstances and a spiritual way of engaging with the world that's connected to practicing gratitude.". The Greek word for joy is Chairo. "Chairo was described by the ancient Greeks as the culmination of being and the good mood of the soul." It is something that is only found in God and "comes with virtue and wisdom.". Friday, April 26, 2013. As be...

Wednesday, June 17, 2009. A Day in the Life. I have found that when I tell people about my job, they usually react with some version of, "Wow, that must be a fun job. You get to play with animals all day! Drag myself into work with coffee in hand. Treat any patients that are hospitalized from the night before. (Weigh, temp, give meds, feed, etc.). Start the inventory ordering for the week. Get sidetracked at least 3 times on the way to the computer. Grab a syringe from the drawer to draw up the vaccine.

Putting on My Spiritual Armor: November 2013
http://chelsealyndilbeck.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Putting on My Spiritual Armor. Tuesday, November 26, 2013. Though my faith may waver, my God never changes. Who am I trusting right now? I say I believe God's promises but, to be honest, I'm finding it really difficult to stand on them. I feel like my solid ground is a bit shaky right now. God is faithful, though. I listened to a beautiful sermon today by Dr. Charles Stanley about God's faithfulness. We say God is faithful but what helps us to believe in that? I am also encouraged when looking at people ...

Putting on My Spiritual Armor: February 2015
http://chelsealyndilbeck.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Putting on My Spiritual Armor. Saturday, February 14, 2015. Clash of the cultures. Every time I visit a country new to me, there are countless learning experiences along the way. I not only learn about the traditions and values of another group of people unlike me, but I also learn a lot about myself along the way. A few things I observed:. 1) We may both be speaking English but that doesn't mean we are going to understand each other. Esther: No, I don't drink whole milk. Sarah: I'll warm it for you.
