Medalhead - Musings from a finisher's medal gold-digger: Aaaaaargh!!!! Maritime Race Weekend
http://medalhead.blogspot.com/2012/09/aaaaaargh-maritime-race-weekend.html
I don't particularly enjoy running, but I will run for cool race bling! I'm a self-proclaimed finishers' medal gold-digger. Which means I only run for the finisher's medal I get at the end. So, if your race doesn't have a medal, I won't run your race. You don't really expect me to run 21.1km for nothing, do you? Monday, 17 September 2012. With lobster hats to celebrate Maritime Race Weekend. We picked up our race kits Friday before the race - they were awesome! The theme of the race was pirates! The cour...

Preppy Sue: Fitness
http://morepreppysue.blogspot.com/p/fitness.html

I've learned that by taking an hour for myself to workout, I'm happy to give the rest of my time to my family and their needs. New England weather can present challenges to runners and age can present more frequent injuries so I've learned to mix it up! Here's what I've got lined up for 2015 races. March 7- Irish 5K Pawtucket, RI. March 8- Celtic 5K Worcester, MA. July 2- Fi...

A little something to think about…. Tag Archives: Health and Fitness. January 20, 2015. Get off the sideline and on to the start line. Have you ever been a spectator at a half-marathon and thought to yourself “Man, I wish I could get out there and do that.”? Since then, I have finished 4 half-marathons (only one of which I walked a small part due to inefficient training). Here is my guide to running a half-marathon:. Register for a race. It’s a great first marathon course! 8211; Mentally, it can be diffi...
