Real Good Guac: Bam Baby!
http://realgoodguac.blogspot.com/2011/05/bam-baby.html
Wednesday, May 25, 2011. I had the pleasure of graduating about a week and a half ago. It was a great weekend. I had friends/family/future family/fiance all here in the same place. It was wonderful to see all of my favorite people together and enjoying each other's company. Also, excuse to get dressy! It was strange thinking about my graduation - last exam ever! Last group presentation ever! I received many lovely cards for graduation and my last day at work - last cards with hats that have tassels!

Real Good Guac: He can't swim!
http://realgoodguac.blogspot.com/2011/02/he-cant-swim.html
Thursday, February 24, 2011. Winter keeps slogging along here in upstate New York. We had 50-60 degree weather for about 3 days last week and it was a total tease. When the cold came back it felt like a slap in the face. I'm so sick of running on a treadmill in my apartment's sad excuse for a "workout" room. More like a smelly closet with three machines and a tv. Let me outside winter weather! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Shelfari: Book reviews on your book blog.

Real Good Guac: December 2010
http://realgoodguac.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 23, 2010. Mamacita, donde esta Santa Claus? The holidays are here! Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Spreading the cheer out the window. It is very strange to be contemplating graduation yet again. When I graduated from college in 2007 I felt much more unsure of my career path yet the job market was better. Now I feel confident in the direction I am headed and love my chosen focus in librarianship, but the possibility of finding a job seems bleak. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

mighty manhattan: April 2013
http://mightymanhattan.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
8220;It couldn't have happened anywhere but in little old New York.”. April 10, 2013. The Truth About Thirty. There I was on the subway, earbuds in listening to God knows what ( fine. It was Rihanna), and at each stop the doors would open - bing bong! Do you want to know how many days it is? Eight Eight days. A terrifyingly small amount when you think about it, which let me tell you I've been trying very hard not to do. Eight That’s basically a week. You can count the days on both hands. The truth when t...

Where There's a Road: sleep in thin tents, caked with dirt...
http://wheretheresaroad.blogspot.com/2009/05/sleep-in-thin-tents-caked-with-dirt.html
Sunday, May 24, 2009. Sleep in thin tents, caked with dirt. We've been busy. I've not posted. Oops. I found myself a bit nostalgic for Jane as she was leaving Hamilton given that I've had some good times there when she's been there. One of my favorite times was skipping half a week of class last year to go to a show at Hamilton and hang out for five days. We're planning on heading down to the Pine Barrens today for a hike which should be fun. May 27, 2009 at 2:49 PM. Hope u can do again.

Where There's a Road: November 2009
http://wheretheresaroad.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 20, 2009. Like 1930 that night. SoI have to apologize to my loyal and numerous readers for not blogging in a long time. Here we go, let's get this started again. So here's a quick list of what's been going on. We're getting settled well here in Canajoharie, NY. Small town life is much different than Jersey but we're digging it. We went to Michigan a few weeks ago to visit Miriam's family which was a lot of fun. We inherited a mini-van from my parents which has been helpful in moving big ...

Where There's a Road: March 2009
http://wheretheresaroad.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 26, 2009. Moonlight spills on comic books. We're heading to Upstate for the weekend since Miriam is preaching at Bellevue. Unfortunately I will not get to hear her since I am heading back on a train Saturday night. It's confirmation Sunday at Westfield and I really need to be there. If the trains run on schedule the trip should only take about 30 minutes longer than driving and I'll be able to get some good work done. Monday, March 23, 2009. And oh it's gonna drop, gonna fill your cup.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009. The best view of new jersey is in the rear view mirror. The Barnes are heading to Upstate New York! Miriam received and accepted a call to be the next pastor of Canajoharie Reformed Church this past Sunday. It's been a long process but in the end we're both excited about heading up there and beginning this next part of our life. That's all I'm up for writing right now, word. Where There's a Road: December 2008
http://wheretheresaroad.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 24, 2008. When the weather outside is frightful. So we're here. And we're excited. Thursday, December 18, 2008. When the clock says stop we're all gonna drop. I are currently in Day 4 of the DTTOYTDLEADSTWDST Project '08 (see the last post for what the acronym means) and I am doing pretty well. The list is being checked off at a quick pace and I am proud to say that I have not felt as though I have wasted a day of break so far. Monday, December 15, 2008. Today is the first day of the ...

Some Real Good Pies: October 2010
http://realgoodpies.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Some Real Good Pies. A Pie a Week for a Year. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Week #8 October 18 - 24. This week I made two pies because it was my last week at my current office after being there for nine months. An advantage or some would say disadvantage of my job is that I travel through rotations in different areas of the country. I'm currently in Milwaukee, WI. It's a real great city, but I've been missing my Sandy a lot. Monday, October 25, 2010. Week #7 October 11 - 17. More to come soon. Where I work...
