On second thought, maybe I should have stuck with the bobsled thing .). Feb 12th, 2010 at 1:02 PM. But, y'know . the Olympics start today. I do so love the Olympics, and as I will probably want to say something about something related to the Olympics over the next while, I thought it might be better to say something than simply break my silence with "Okay, what the hell was up with that last bobsled run? Come on, people! You have two jobs: running on ice, and NOT FALLING OUT OF THE SLED.". Feb 12th, 2010...

Le tour 2009: roadies
http://roadies.livejournal.com/362051.html
The man who invented sideways (. The man who invented sideways. Holly Street, Toronto, ON. Okay, here we are eith the tour 12 hours away and nobody has posted to the community since September. Who's good to go? My man Michael Barry got left off the Tour selection again this year, which means the Giro was possibly the only grand tour he'll ever ride. Darn. Post a new comment. Just when I thought I had the bike sponsors down...: roadies
http://roadies.livejournal.com/361493.html
Just when I thought I had the bike sponsors down. Ridley leaves Silence-Lotto for Katusha (formerly Tinkoff). Rabobank dumps Colnago, picks up Giant. Cervelo dumps CSC-Saxo Bank, starts own team. Scott dumps Saunier Duval, then gets picked up by Columbia after Columbia and Giant split. Specialized gets together with CSC-Saxo Bank. And in the next few days, Silence-Lotto will probably decide what it's going to ride for the next year. Am I missing anything in all this craziness? Post a new comment.

Late night - Olympic Road Race: roadies

Apparatus For Simulating A High Five (. Apparatus For Simulating A High Five. Late night - Olympic Road Race. I'm watching the nbcolympic dot com live video stream of the mens road race. I know Paul and Phil are in China to call the race, but the live video is raw. Absolutely nothing but crowd noise and car horns. Very strange to watch the race like this. Post a new comment. The Wall - The Random Element

Nov 6th, 2008 at 2:48 PM. I am writing a book, yes? Stupid book. I am currently convinced of the following things:. That this story is not going to pull together into a coherent ending. That, despite the fact that things have been connecting nicely, I’m going to drop one of the main threads and/or mess everything up, and end up with a conclusion that is in no way worth reading a whole book to reach. That no one will want to read about these characters for so very many words. In short, I have spent a mont...

Naming Another Year - The Random Element
http://ksumnersmith.livejournal.com/77425.html
Jan 1st, 2009 at 11:20 PM. The Year of Transformation truly lived up to its name. I know that 2008 was hard for many people, but oh, how I loved this past year. Over the course of those twelve months, I managed to make changes that took me from being a very unhappy, overstressed, exhausted and overwhelmed person, constantly angry as anger was the only thing that kept me from breaking down crying, to someone who is truly, honestly, and unequivocally happy. 4 comments Leave a comment. The history of women's cycling ...: roadies

The man who invented sideways (. The man who invented sideways. Holly Street, Toronto, ON. The history of women's cycling . I saw the women's road race this morning, and I've been thinking. Women's cycling in the last 50 years can be summed up in the careers of just three women: Beryl Burton, Maria Canins, Jeanne Longo Ciprelli. Everybody else have known who it was they had to beat to reach the top. Post a new comment. Anonymous comments are disabled in this journal. We will log you in after post.
