Tuesday, March 17, 2015. Final Update on Command Center. Finally have my project wrapped up and set in place. I have been having great responses. I was very excited to see how well this project worked out. A few little flaws, but overall I was very happy. The area most proud of was the roll top feature. Tuesday, February 3, 2015. Project in the Making. A co-worker of mine had asked me if I would be interested in making a "Command Center" desk for his church. Currently they are using a folding table to set all their equipment on. As you can see below not much room to lay a pencil down. After visiting the church and seeing what the parameters were to work around, I started my design process. Google " Sketchup. Was my choice of design software. Really great stuff for being a free item. ALL My wood projects.

This the first time I have:. 1 Made a roll-top feature. 2 Applied edge banding. 3 Used my HVLP Earlex Sprayer. 4 First time buying Oak from the sawmill and planing, etc. Ended up using one of my wife's curling irons. Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Make a Rad 2x4 Skateboard! I made a Skateboard out of a standard 8-foot 2x4 for the Gwinnett Woodworkers Association 2x4 contest. Even the wheels are made from the 2x4!
