Sunday, September 12, 2010. So the cat is out of the bag! I have been planning a quick visit to the Uk in December, last year you may know that I arranged for our daughter and her fiance to come over for xmas, will that went down so well. Sally had no idea it was happening until I arrived back from the airport with them! Check out the video on youtube,com. The ferry is booked, there is a list of places and people to visit and of course the shopping lists have started! We are also hoping to see a pantomine.

Monday, January 31, 2011. The year has gotten off to a flying start, we have had snow of course, but not too much around a couple of inches, it is nice as it is soft and not the wet stuff like the UK has, so you can walk around and not get wet at all. The only issue is that it is hard to make snowballs! As Sally says my mind starts to work overtime in the Spring, well it looks like Spring has come early this year. Saturday, October 17, 2009. We really miss her. Geri our German Shepperd puppy, 7 months old now has a lot to live up to, although she is a funny dog in different ways. Friday, November 6, 2009. Another year goes by, Guy Fawkes night has been celibrated. We invited a good mix of ex-pat's and Bulgarian's to help with the festivities. All went with a bang! The fireworks were supplied by us and a few friends, food was also supplied by us and friends, curry from Wendy, Chocolate cake from Vessie, Soup from Jill, Cake from Meggie, egg plant from Milka, drinks from almost everyone, including Rakia! Tuesday, September 28, 2010. We are still collecting clothes for a local orphange in Debelets, the ages range from 0-4 years. If anyone has any clothing no longer required in good condition and can get it here to me, I will see the orphange gets it. Well yesterday was a lovely day around 25 degrees and bright with lots of sun, however we met a local guy in the market who informed us that this was to be the last warm day and the cooler weather is set to return. Woke up today and guess what? It is still sunny and warm.still in shorts and t-shirt! Wednesday, September 2, 2009. A couple of days ago I was eating my dinner and had a hard bit in what should have been a soft dinner. I thought it was a piece of filling that had come out, coupled with the fact that when I had a hot or cold drink there was pain in my tooth. So I plucked up the courage to go and see the dentist. Saturday, January 30, 2010. Minus 30 degrees and snow! This week has been the coldest week we have seen in our time here in Bulgaria, minus 30 degrees! Snow and ice, still we managed to get around. I had my hair cut in Veliko Tarnovo and the next day Sally had her's done there too, so the roads are clear, you just need to drive with care. The fire was great heating the radiators around the house. However at night we drop down the window shutters, this helps keep out some of the cold as well. Geri loves t...
