Sunday, May 11, 2014. New Honokaa Rodeo Stadium Dedication Kicks off Western Week. The County of Hawaii will bless and open the Rose Andrade-Correia Stadium. In Honokaa on May 19 at 10 am Invitations like the one above have been sent out to the media by the county. Honokaa's annual Western Week gets under starts on May 19 and continues to May 26. The rodeo lasting over two days will highlight the festivities that are also marked with a parade, chili cook-off and dancing. Honokaa Western Week on Facebook.

Thursday, August 29, 2013. No" To Same Sex Marriage Special Session. Not too many people showed up for this far left rally yesterday (August 28) sponsored by Move On Hawaii. This was part of a celebration of Martin Luther King's 50th anniversary of the "I Have a Drream" speech, which also turned into a Gay marriage call. Proponents of Same Sex Marraige are trying to force the State Legislature into special session to enact a "marriage equality" bill. Hawaii currently has a marriage definition clause.
