Hope my photos will show the true 'place of wonder' that it was! None of my photos of actual burl on the trees came out good enough to see. Burl wood is so beautiful, but interesting that no one knows why it grows. Many Weddings take place in this cathedral made of nine living trees! There were breathtaking views! We are still in 'AWE'!

Charlie and Mary's Alaska Adventures. Monday, May 30, 2011. You must get up very early in Alaska to see a sunrise! Today Charlie and our workamper friend Rich are going on a Charter Fishing Trip! Deb and I are going to HOMER, AK with them to find our own advernture and hopefully to bring fish home for cooking! We left at 3 am and watched as these pictures came on the sunrise! AND RICH PREPARING TO LEAVE FOR THE DAY! IS THIS ALL I AM GOING TO CATCH? JUST THE REASON WE CAME! Each person had a limit of two!

We got to pet them as the mushers prepared the dogs to pull the sled. All the dogs barked and jumped around hoping it was their turn to pull the sled! As soon as the sled left, they all quit barking and settled down. We walked through a beautiful rainforest as we left the sled dogs and headed back to the parking lot. Saturday, June 25, 2011.
