We all met, appropriately enough, at the downtown Santa Cruz farmers market. I told them I had a digital camera, and would take pictures of the farms and the dinners in e...

http://locavoreoncore.blogspot.com/2008/08/lucy-has-made-her-debut.html
Eating Local on Weight Watchers. Friday, August 22, 2008. Lucy has made her debut! I'm thrilled to announce that our baby girl, Lucy, was born on Tuesday night after a very manageable labor and only five minutes of pushing! Big brother Jax keeps asking to hold and kiss her, and is trying to share all of his toys - I'm appreciating it while it lasts. Thanks for the kind e-mails asking about us. Goal We...

Grape vines must be spaced sufficiently to allow the plant to obtain the moisture it needs from the soil. In practice we have found that this varies from 32 to 120 square feet, which may in fact depend on the soil, rainfall, and altitude. The Farmer and His Sons. In many cases, vineyards or orchards are plant...
