BookGirl: Andrea Dezso
http://ashevillebookgirl.blogspot.com/2007/08/andrea-dezso.html
Random Musings On My Bookish (and Occasionally Other) Passions. How smitten am I with Andrea Dezso? How admiring am I of her talent, her versatility and her range? How fascinating is it that she's from Romania (Transylvania, no less) and that her Romanian culture and immigrant experience figure often in her art? The wonderful blog of the Rag and Bone Bindery. Led me to Dezso's work, and I was hooked. I want to show you every single piece that's on her pages. At the Parsons New School for Design. The indi...

BookGirl: BookGirl's 2009 Reading
http://ashevillebookgirl.blogspot.com/2007/05/bookgirls-2007-reading.html
Random Musings On My Bookish (and Occasionally Other) Passions. This is my work-around to Blogger's unfortunate inability to create separate "pages" (something Wordpress, for example, can do), so don't concern yourself with the date above. So I'm creating this list as a separate post and will link to it from an item on the sidebar of my blog's home page. I'll keep it up to date. The Raphael Affair - Iain Pears. The Pickwick Papers - Charles Dickens. The Creative Habit - Twyla Tharp. When Will There Be Go...

BookGirl: How Do You Feel About the Printed Word?
http://ashevillebookgirl.blogspot.com/2010/03/i-have-new-widget-i-pledge-to-read.html
Random Musings On My Bookish (and Occasionally Other) Passions. How Do You Feel About the Printed Word? I have a new widget - I Pledge to Read the Printed Word. On this blog (see left) that I found while reading one of the (too many) blogs I follow on my feed reader. When traveling - I wish I'd had one when I seemed to live on a plane during a past work life. So I'm certainly no Luddite. Curling up with the Sunday Times. When I came across this wonderful "manifesto" from Mrs. Fischer's English Classes.

Friday, May 12, 2006. Err that would be Katy. After catching up on some Boston Legal, Grey's Anatomy, House, Bleach, etc. I was ready for bed at 1:30a . Then the evil one says, "did you watch those Convictions yet? No, but I have to sleep, I still have to work tomorrow.". Come on, let's watch it! Sigh* and so I ended up not sleeping until 4:30a. Which brings me to my "resolution list"- shot. Yup, I drank coffee. I've also drank sodas since the New Year's (more times than I can count). Links to this post.

Random Musings On My Bookish (and Occasionally Other) Passions. A Yen for Paper. I seem to be obsessed lately with advertising involving the clever use of paper. Maybe it's because interesting advertising is rare. But there's also a bit of nostalgia here, as paper becomes less and less important in society - newspapers losing ground to reading online, books in print being overshadowed by ebooks, etc. This is the trailer for Le Petit Nicolas. A live-action film based on the book. Who also wrote the Asterix.
