Monday, September 27, 2010. You know how wonderful it is when your mom comes to help? How the dishes get put away and the laundry is done and meals suddenly appear before you? Yeah, I love that. I love it more than anything. Except that my mother left three weeks ago. And I still don't know where my socks are. Monday, September 20, 2010. Image via Danica Nelson Photography. 2 years, 5 months. Or "What color is that? And then telling us the answer, "Umm, green? We have to slow down! Why do you love me?

Monday, July 5, 2010. We were lucky enough to inherit a set of tickets to Hershey Park a few weeks ago. I'd never been to Hershey and so we decided to lather on some sunscreen and head on out to the land of milk chocolate. We also enjoyed the lazy river, which is totally worth the ticket price, which I don't know what it is, since we were given our tickets, but whatever the cost, the lazy river is worth it. But enough about that. Here's the proof:. I love watching their conversations. Sunday, July 4, 2010.

Monday, March 5, 2012. Caleb has been lucky to have some great friends here in San Diego. Teis just had his third birthday and we had an awesome time at his party. In a park. In March. San Diego still blows my mind. Anyway, the weather was fabulous, the decorations were perfect (Monster Truck Party! And the company was incredible. Who doesn't love a chocolate cupcake? That's *almost* eating, right? At least she knows what to do with it :). When did he get big enough to ride a bike? Isn't he a baby? I wou...

Wednesday, October 10, 2012. I should really start breaking these into individual posts, but I'm too lazy for that. We had some extra passes and brought Caleb's friend, B, with us to Legoland. The boys were so cute together. It was a big reminder about how quickly Caleb is growing up. We also had the chance to have friends over all throughout the month. Caleb and T love to play together. They are all into superheroes and T particularly loves firemen. Peds Interns. Minus Brian. The boys. Minus Brian.

Knickerbocker Knotes: August 2011

Thursday, August 18, 2011. Peter and I spoke about Righteous Parenting last week in church and were asked for copies of our talks, so I thought I would post mine here. Peter spoke from notes, so you'll have to ask him to give it again- I'm sure he'd love you for that :). Please. I can barely spell that phrase, let alone speak on it. So yeah, righteous parenting. Where did we go wrong? No no no. That is not how it snows on the island of Sodor. When is your father coming home? Righteous parenting comes whe...

Knickerbocker Knotes: April 2012

Tuesday, October 2, 2012. I'm not sure what this is from, but he's cute, so there you go. Charlotte had a couple of nights like this. That 90 should be closer to 100). But luckily she's adorable as well, so we keep her around. Ben and Jerry's had a Free Ice Cream Day, so I did my civic duty and took Caleb and his friend Cameron. It was for the children. Really. Grandma Knickerbocker sent the kids the most adorable Easter clothes. Caleb wanted to model them for her. I love living here. His first day home.

Friday, October 15, 2010. Caleb has been making great progress with the potty training. However, he's had a little problem with number 2. Of course. Cause it can't be that easy, right? So today I hit my wall. I was just NOT going to clean poop out of his pants again. Not gonna happen. What do I do? Mother of the year award coming.) I, in complete exasperation tell him that if he poops on the potty, Thomas the Tank Engine would call him to congratulate him. What did he do? Friday, October 8, 2010. Second,...

Friday, July 8, 2011. Since we've moved here to California, Caleb has really had a rough time (well, a rough time for Caleb). He's still the lovable, crazy kid we all know, but he's very easily frustrated these days. It's especially difficult to watch, since he's been such a rock through everything with Charlotte. My heart breaks for this poor kid and all he's had to endure. So I get it. I get why he's angry and frustrated and prone to tantrums. When I told him today that he was going to be able to start...

Knickerbocker Knotes: March 2012
http://knickerbockernotes.blogspot.com/2012/10/march-2012.html
Tuesday, October 2, 2012. March 2012: a photographic recap. We spent a lot of time enjoying the beautiful weather in March. Pete was working a lot of evenings, so we would frequently head down to the beach to enjoy the sunset. Caleb got a new bike, and loved riding it around Mission Bay Park. I got really bored while Peter was working. I worked at a March of Dimes table at a conference for Neonatologists, and guess who I ran into? We spent a lot of time at the doctor's office. Her obligatory First Day of...
