Pickles & Black Coffee: Also...
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/05/also.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. I added a link to the Picasa album on the right. I don't guess anyone knew how to get there before. How could one not fall madly in love with the Hill Country, after seeing something like this? It's like living in a huge playground! May 17, 2008 at 5:47 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pickles & Black Coffee: Summer project idea
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/04/summer-project-idea.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Thursday, April 24, 2008. Haven't quite found the time to post the camping pictures yet, I'll get on it before the weekend. For a further educational experience, I'll try doing all this on Linux with C . This way it's much more portable (as opposed to C# which would be restricted to Windows with .NET). Also, I might put the code all under Creative Commons and post the various stages so other people can use it, improve it, or do whatever they want. Back to the mines!

Pickles & Black Coffee: Taking Charge
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/06/taking-charge.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Saturday, June 7, 2008. So my goal for the summer is to work through these two books. Maybe even work on my game with the Torque engine to try out some of my concepts. Sounds like a brilliant plan to me! June 8, 2008 at 8:53 AM. You're gonna end up pulling a geoff, and spend one summer teaching yourself computer stuff so that you end up with a kick ass job right out of college. June 8, 2008 at 9:16 AM. Pickles & Black Coffee: What's all this then?
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2012/11/whats-all-this-then.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Tuesday, November 20, 2012. What's all this then? So I ended up in Houston anyway. Wasn't awful, but I sure don't want to go back. I learned some important lessons, like not going to work at a tech or software company if you are the only one who knows about tech and software. Anyway, my cigar is done and my beer is empty. Time for some video games. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Austin, TX, United States. View my complete profile.

Pickles & Black Coffee: Break time
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/04/break-time.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Tuesday, April 22, 2008. I am currently working on my final project for a class, which basically involves writing linux device drivers for a little prototype board. So far it's a bit over my head. Anyway, I have some time to kill while it runs some things. I suppose I could have inherited many worse things than a slow metabolism. If I could give you some of my metabolism, I would do it in a heart beat. Good luck. April 22, 2008 at 9:47 PM. Books on tape.Brilliant!

Pickles & Black Coffee: Camping
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/04/camping.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Friday, April 18, 2008. So I'm about to go camping for the first time since I was about 4 years old. It should be interesting. We couldn't get a spot at the regular campsite so when we get there we have to walk about 2 miles to the "Primitive" area to set up. We're packing light =P. We'll probably spend most of saturday geocaching because there are plenty of them scattered around the Pedernales and it'll be a good way to see a lot of the place too. May 7, 2008 at 5:08 PM.

Pickles & Black Coffee: Yay summer
http://capndan.blogspot.com/2008/05/yay-summer.html
Pickles and Black Coffee. Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Finally got the camping pictures up on my Picasa account. Apparently I didn't even take any pictures the last day we were there. I got some great ones of the actual falls though (well, the hilly/rocky area that flash floods periodically). You're on the right track! I think food journaling (any journaling, for that matter) is SUCH an eye opener, and valuable tool. I can't believe you had too spend $300 on parts for a class project. That sucks! Subscribe t...
