Anyway, the coaches of both teams are all friends and many of the kids are too, and there had been a bit of trash-talking, so the air was ripe with anticipation. Here's the latest from our family. Saturday, October 23, 2010. Since it's so dreary and dismal outside this week, I decided to relive the summertime fun of swimmimg lessons. This was Caleb's and Emma's third time around, but the first time for Sarah. Emma loved the diving board, and she looked like she was flying every time she jumped! As you can see, she wasn't exactly excited in the beginning, but she quickly warmed up to swimming and became quite a little fish.even jumped off the diving board! Our vac...

Here's the latest from our family. Monday, February 8, 2010. Just a regular Sunday morning. It happens every week, but I always seem to miss it in the whirlwind of racing out the door to make it to church on time. All three of my children are dressed nicely, in clothes that match, with their hair combed. I know it doesn't sound like much of a feat, but it certainly is. Here's the latest from our family. Thursday, June 24, 2010. So this Father's Day past, I asked Chase how he wanted to spend the day. And was I at all surprised? Nope Baseball. So we all went to our park with the balls, bat, and tee, and had a fun, family game of baseball. The weather was perfect; the kids were happy; there were no crowds to fight. I have to say, I couldn't have asked for a better afternoon. Sarah taking a swing.and running the wrong way to first! Can you feel the love?

Last week my teaching partner and I got together to plan our work schedule. We usually do this in June, but this year we got the calendar a little later. What's Cookin' in Carrie's Kitchen. Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Brazillian Chicken in Coconut Milk. I found this recipe on All Recipes. As with most of my recipes, I begin with a base and then adjust based on my family's tastes. We like bold and spicy flavors so I usually punch up the spices a bit more. This is a spicy and flavorful chicken dish. I always pair it with my Gordon Ramsey's Citrus Rice Pilaf, which is also posted on my blog. 1 Tground cayenne pepper. 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves.
