On The Jobsite In Santa Fe: Just in Time
http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/03/just-in-time.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Sunday, March 21, 2010. Friday we set the ICF stem walls forms and poured concrete. One hour later, yet another snow storm passed through dumping 8" in town and 21" in the mountains. At least we have the weekend with temps back in the 50's to melt the snow and dry things up in time for backfilling on Monday. Better pics of what the snow storms do for the views in Santa Fe. http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/04/out-of-ground.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Saturday, April 10, 2010. Out of the Ground! After 3 months of excavation, hauling dirt, building foundations, backfilling, grading and slab prep, we have completed all the work at and below grade. We will be working above ground for the reminder of the project. After the radiant tubing was completed and everything was inspected, Ballew returned last Wednesday morning at 6:45am to begin pouring all slabs. It was 25 degrees when they sta...

On The Jobsite In Santa Fe: Falling Behind!
http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/03/falling-behind.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Sunday, March 14, 2010. Our planned ground breaking date was December 1, 2009. Due to delays during the permitting process, followed by wave after wave of cold and snow, our progress has been slow. In addition, I designed a basement into this house which involved digging and hauling away 600 yards (63 dump truck loads) of dirt. The above photo shows a crane lifting a track hoe into our back yard. Why you ask? A wall was damaged while drivin...

On The Jobsite In Santa Fe: Still Playing in the Dirt!
http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/04/still-playing-in-dirt.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Saturday, April 3, 2010. Still Playing in the Dirt! It's been more than a week and 324 Sanchez St. finally dried out enough to do more digging. We are 2 weeks behind schedule, but weather permitting, we're hoping to make this up by mid-May. This round of digging was to rough-in all the below slab plumbing. Joel Armenta from Armenta's Plumbing does beautiful work and is very responsive. Who needs a dumpster! On The Jobsite In Santa Fe: Dry Dry Dry
http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/03/dry-dry-dry.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Thursday, March 18, 2010. After a few days of sun, it was finally dry enough to dig out and pour the footings for the rest of the house. We are expecting cold and snow again this weekend, but we hope to get the ICF stem walls installed and poured tomorrow. Next week we backfill and then plumbing rough-in and fireplace building. On The Jobsite In Santa Fe: Walls Up
http://casasolterra.blogspot.com/2010/04/walls-up.html
On The Jobsite In Santa Fe. 2010 Parade of Homes 324 Sanchez St. Sunday, April 18, 2010. All Star Masonry worked along side the ICF crew building the fireplaces. The fireplaces need to be built up to the bearing height of the ICF walls. The connecting points between the fireplaces and the ICF walls are tied together with rebar before the concrete is poured.
