Grandma's Heritage: June 2012
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 21, 2012. My sister in law did this a few weeks ago, so I wanted to try it. It was super cheap and easy to throw together. Mix 1 part water, 1 part cornstarch, and a little food coloring, and there you have it. I only made a tiny bit, because I knew it would be spilled all over in a matter of minutes. This amount was 1 Tablespoon cornstarch and water. She totally loved it! It entertained her for at least a half an hour, and in toddler time, that's ages. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Cut out circ...

Grandma's Heritage: Carseat Covers
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2013/02/carseat-covers.html
Thursday, February 7, 2013. I have two sister-in-laws having babies this spring, so I made carseat covers for them. The one on the right is supposed to be for a boy. The one on the left is supposed to be unisex, but it was so hard finding fabric! I ended up thinking the mushrooms were a little girly, and the other was a little too boyish, but oh well. I love how they turned out either way. I found the pattern on Etsy. Sometimes it's the embellishments that end up costing the most. Dieter F. Uchtdorf.

Grandma's Heritage: January 2013
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2013. These were so cute. The patterns for the pillows came from a "Art to Heart" book. The Book is titled Curiosities and Mischief by Nancy Halvorsen. First part was the hardest: the choosing of the fabric and the design for the pillow. I wanted to used only the fabric I had in my stash and so it was hard plus the fact that I always have a hard time with deciding. Third you put in batting and quilt the tops,. I ended up doing 13 of these for Christmas and all of them were different.

OK, so I feel bad that most of you haven't even met this guy or even knew I was dating someone so I better do a formal introduction of my mystery guy, so here it goes! Grandma's Heritage: August 2012
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 7, 2012. These babies have been in the line up for a while now. A friend of mine paid me to make her twin 12 year old granddaughters quilts. The girls picked the color scheme, but I did everything else. I thought it would be fun to use the same color scheme and squares, but two do different patterns. I think they turned out super cute. They are lap size. About 48x58". Inspiration from my sister in law, here. It's worth your time. My score sheets were all over the place, from a 65 to an 85...

Grandma's Heritage: My latest projects
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-latest-projects.html
Tuesday, January 29, 2013. January 5th Was Ella's baptism and Maxwell's blessing. Earlier in the year I had volunteered to make Ella a dress and do the blessing outfit. It came fast right after Christmas. But all turned out well. Ella is the first of three baptisms this year, I can't believe they are all getting so grownup. She wanted the dress pink and I found this pretty fabric several months ago and knew it would be perfect. She looked so pretty. January 29, 2013 at 3:05 PM. January 29, 2013 at 3:10 PM.

Grandma's Heritage: June 2013
http://grandmasheritage.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 18, 2013. We had a Foisy get together after the beach house and Maryellen, Nicole, Anne and I spent 2 days in my moms new craft room sewing and quilting away. I made a little quilt for my good friend heather who is having a girl in a few weeks. My first time using the quilting machine. It was so much easier then I thought. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
