Celebrating 400 years of Ingestre Hall

A celebration of Ingestre. Ingestre Festival will be celebrating the 400th anniversary of the building of Ingestre Hall in 1613 by Walter Chetwynd (the Hall builder). His grandson, also named Walter (the Church builder), was responsible for the building of Ingestre Church to a design by Sir Christopher Wren in 1676. A celebration of 400 years of Ingestre Hall with Purcell's Opera, Dido and Aeneas, performed on the 28, 29 and 30 August and a Festival on the 31st August 2013. Brief History of Ingestre.
