Tonight, my other roommate L and I tried out a new recipe, courtesy of burpandslurp.com. And 1/2 cup pineapple. Add 1/4 cup mustard. A few squirts of lemon juice.

Recipes Science Geekiness = Yes. Tuesday, June 8, 2010. Frijoles Negros (or, Black Bean and Randomness Soup). Wow, no recipes posted in a while! But I'm now back out on my own at my summer internship, so I'm having to feed myself again. Here is one of my new favorites. For me, black beans are in a special food group of familiarity, along with garlic. And cafe con leche. A lot of antioxidants. And help stabilize blood sugar. SO easy to prepare, SO delicious, and very inexpensive. The beans were under ...

Recipes Science Geekiness = Yes. Tuesday, November 9, 2010. Benoit Mandelbrot, Father of the Fractal. Last month, the world lost one of the most brilliant mathematical minds of the past few decades: Benoit Mandelbrot. However, a fractal is more than just a pretty picture. The equations that give rise to these fractals can actually be used to describe various phenomena in nature. In fact, Mandelbrot was first inspired to explore the concept of fractals when pondering how best to measure the coast of Brita...

An EE Girl on the Go. Juggling E.E. with a Healthy Dose of Crazy on Top. Thursday, November 4, 2010. Elen Took’s Weblog. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; A Post for Rosi. An Existential Criticism of the Drinking Age. March 12, 2010 by ecamarata. Today, Rosi and I decided to visit the High Museum of Art. It was in the ladies room that the going got tough. And it would happen to me: stuck in the middle of down-town Atlanta, my purse naively empty of tampons, and me in desperate need of something to staunch my feminine flow. Hoping for some sort of brilliant miracle, like a sudden heavenly shower ...

Friday, July 31, 2015. Trust Me I Don't Trust You. Found this in Drafts. Though I shouId post it. I don't make friends easily. I have a difficult time letting my guard down and trusting, just trusting, that people won't back-stab or reject friendship. I have not always been this way, though.
