Real Talk in the Virtual World: Final Reflection
http://jiahwa-2008.blogspot.com/2008/11/final-reflection.html
Real Talk in the Virtual World. Friday, November 14, 2008. Ps: It is finally time for the final blog post! One such example is when I think of food while Ms Kim talks! In addition, I noticed that several classmates nodded their heads as I presented. These non-verbal cues allowed me to know that they understood what I was trying to bring across. In fact, I have to thank them as these NVCs also helped to assure me as I spoke and helped to soothe my nerves. (Thank you so much! To conclude my final blog post.

For this final post, return to your first post and review what you wrote. Has your understanding of the value of effective communications skills changed since that time? If so, in what way? If not, why not? How do you feel about the communication skills that you have developed in this module? Whether it is learning minimally from a...

Grace Kim: Single sex schools vs co-ed schools
http://gracekimwong.blogspot.com/2008/08/single-sex-schools-vs-co-ed-schools.html
Sunday, August 17, 2008. Single sex schools vs co-ed schools. I studied in an all-girls' school for ten years and those ten years were some of the best years of my life for that was when I found God and when I forged friendships that have lasted till today. This begs the question: Is a single-sex school better than a co-educational school? What are the advantages of a single-sex school? How is it that the majority of the top secondary schools in Singapore are usually either all-boys or all-girls schools?

Grace Kim: August 2008

Sunday, August 17, 2008. I went to an all-girls' school for ten wonderful years which were spent playing rounders (a simplified game of softball), queueing up on Fridays for mee-goreng (sometimes we would bring along our own eggs), sharing food and soup (imagine three to four girls slurping from the same soup bowl! Single sex schools vs co-ed schools. This begs the question: Is a single-sex school better than a co-educational school? What are the advantages of a single-sex school? Friday, August 15, 2008.

Grace Kim: July 2008
http://gracekimwong.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2008. I have always wondered, did they get where they are today because they were born smart or were they nurtured from young? Is intelligence nurtured or is it a God-given gift? To me, the answer lies in the genes. The "Maths" genes that my elder son inherited from his father is the reason why even at about. Such a simple question also cannot do! Or why I once witnessed a father slapping his son in the swimming pool because he was revising schoolwork (yes, in the swimming pool! One main...

Grace Kim: I've Learned...
http://gracekimwong.blogspot.com/2008/08/ive-learned-that-you-cannot-make.html
Friday, August 15, 2008. That you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is. Be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them. That no matter how much I care,. Some people just don't care back. That it takes years to build up trust,. And only seconds to destroy it. That it's not what you have in your life. But who you have in your life that counts. That you can get by on charm. For about fifteen minutes. After that, you'd better know something. That you shouldn't compare. That it's a lot easier.
