The quiche, crust and all, may be prepared in the time it takes for the oven to heat up. Or you may prepare everything a day or two before, keeping the filling and crust separate, and bake it just before serving. I use a basic pie crust recipe, adding freshly chopped thyme into the dough. For the mushroom filling.
