Chipping in: The moon and the rain
http://chipping-in.blogspot.com/2008/09/moon-and-rain.html
The moon and the rain. And the moon is where two friends love to meet- sharing stories of light and darkness. In silence, chatter, laughter or tears—sometimes all at once. Or through an exchange of cryptic look, subtle gestures, and delicate smile only the two can understand. So, I guess I shall see you tonight at the evening sky where the moon is- full or not. White, orange, grey, or pink. For once, I don't really care about the details. Perhaps the moon is not in sight because its route is not as predi...

Family picture - Aug 2008. Pre-Ramadhan family picture. Aug 31st 2008. Is it a wonder that I love them so much? Posted by Eva.M. At 8/31/2008 03:08:00 pm. The stone-built medieval town is at a complete still. All its inhabitants have gone to sleep. All except one. The teenage Annette. The town street says nothing. Yet to this girl, it is bearing its tired soul. The teenage Annette is wrapped in her winter coat. She is staring at the empty street. Her chest congested, her breathing short, her eyes watery.

Enabling the childhood dream(s). What do you want to be when you grow up? What is it that you have always been passionate about? What do you always dream about becoming? Would it not be great if we can turn that into reality? Personal (childhood) dream is always an exciting discussion topic. But you know what—to me—would be more exciting than realizing own childhood dream? It is to enable other people’s childhood dream(s). How do you do find and live your special gift, your dream? Well, it’s kind o...

I am a big believer in signs and symbols in life, signs and symbols of life. Life loves to drop us small- and not so small- hints on what we should learn and do. Today, it says I am still not that good at reading those hints. I was on my way to a friend’s place. I have never been there before. He was kind enough to email us the map. I studied it last night and carefully made a note. I thought. Right, let’s be positive. So I continued driving and tried to picture the route. I do that in life as well. ...

Three Rumi's for today. Today I will let three Rumi's poems speak for me. For I know no other persons who can write from the heart better than him. Yet. If you want money more than anything,. You will be bought and sold. If you have a greed for food,. You will become a loaf of bread. This is a subtle truth. Whatever you love, you are. A dog is dying on the road. A man is weeping beside him. A beggar comes by. This dog hunted game for me. He kept watch at night. Many times he drove away thieves. Today Kom...

Chipping in: Joe Jackson's Stepping out

Joe Jackson's Stepping out. The mist across the window hides the lines. But nothing hides the color of the lights that shine. Look and dry your eyes. So tired of all the darkness in our lives. With no more angry words to say. Get into a car and drive. To the other side. Me babe - stepping out. You babe - stepping out. Are young but getting old before our time. We’ll leave the TV and the radio behind. Don’t you wonder what we'll find. Can dress in pink and blue just like a child. If you follow me. Provide...

Sunrise and sunset are often referred to as the golden moments in photography. I wonder when the last time I did nothing but embraced these golden moments. Sad, isn't it? Posted by Eva.M. At 3/21/2008 10:51:00 am. Me and books go a long way back. They are among my best friends in the world. They have taken me further than I can even imagine. I thank them for it. I thank my mom and dad for it. I thank the books for many things. I thank my mom and dad, too. Posted by Eva.M. At 3/17/2008 10:37:00 pm. I had ...

Chipping in: From one home to another
http://chipping-in.blogspot.com/2008/09/from-one-home-to-another.html
From one home to another. It is September. On the 17th, I'll be off to Scotland for a six-month study in Beshara. These upcoming months of my life was started by one of those unexpected turns in my life. I was introduced to the Beshara. Group in Jakarta last year. I attended a weekend course and I must admit I did not connect instantly. But something has pulled me to the group again and again. I obeyed, partly out of curiosity. I emailed the director. The director responded. Yes. Yes? And the rest is his...
