The name Anhui is derived from the name of two cities in the south of the district: Anqing and Huizhou (now Huangshan City). Some other famous places at Anhui are: Bengbu, Fuyang, Chuzhou, Anqing, Wuhu. Mount Jiuhua, in the southern prefecture Chizhou, is one of the four sacred mountains in Chinese Buddhism.
