We (Ava and I) had to actually get dressed today since I went back to work and she went back to daycare. I think it’s the first time we’d been out of pajamas/slouchy clothes since Christmas Day – even the social worker saw us in really casual wear. And put away some of the laundry baskets full of clothes that usually sit around until we use up all the clean clothes OR until we need the basket at which time we most often just stack the clean clothes on top of the dresser. Granddaughters are the most precious of our treasures, the dearest possessions of our homes and the objects of our most watchful love.". Chloe turned 7 on September 1. She shared her party with family and friends and a nearby park. She was so worried that it was going to rain, but the rain held off. PopPop was pushing the girls on the tire swing. I will never forget how my heart was pounding as we entered the building. I can remember Jake saying, "There she is"! She looked just like the pictures were had seen of her - so tiny - so beautiful!
