***One Day at a Time: September 2010
http://clothedwithintention.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
One Day at a Time. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Sunday we woke Max up early, packed up the car and headed to Nebraska City with some of our best friends, the Hicks Family. Of course we started off the day with a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks! The day was chilly, overcast and drizzly. Perfect apple-picking weather! We loved every second and can't wait until next year! Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Monday, September 20, 2010. I recommend both the blogsite AND the cookbook! Monday, September 20, 2010.

Thinking about faith and life. Hearing God 9: The With-God Life. May 21, 2013. Created for Oneness (Genesis 1-2). Otherness Introduced (Genesis 3-11). Otherness Expands (Genesis 12-Malachi). Oneness in Christ (Matthew-Revelation 20). Perfectly One (Revelation 21-22). Another even simpler way of telling the story of the Bible as a five-act play comes from N.T. Wright from his (also excellent) book. Scripture and the Authority of God. Adam and Eve – Prior to the fall, God walks with them in the garden.

Thinking about faith and life. Hearing God 8: The Kingdom of God. May 15, 2013. 8220;Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”. In the most recent session of Hearing God, Dallas Willard and John Ortberg discussed the importance of sleep. What does it look like? And they are – but this view of the Kingdom of God as a future reality misses something very important. Consider these words from Jesus:. 8220;The Kingdom of God. This passage (and oth...

One Day at a Time. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. I've been having a bit of writer's blog lately so I decided to start blogging about how Kirk and I met, our story! Today's will be short, I'll start it with the day we met :). But didn't tell him it was my family business. Later in the afternoon my friend and I got ready to head back to Lincoln for the Fourth of July festivities down there. As we were leaving Kirk asked me for my phone number so that he could "call me if he ever had another party"&...The n...

Thinking about faith and life. May 6, 2013. Hearing God 5: The Three Lights. In this week’s session, Dallas Willard moves into the practical side of hearing God. He discusses what some people call the 3 Lights. In our next post, we’ll discuss 3 factors that help us to recognize God’s voice. April 18, 2013. A spiritual classic called. Brother Lawrence de...

Thinking about faith and life. Hearing God 6: 3 Factors for Recognizing God’s Voice. May 8, 2013. Dallas Willard suggests that there are 3 factors that help us to recognize God’s voice when he speaks to us: tone, spirit and content. Before elaborating on these three factors, I want to take a moment to note what Willard is, and is not, talking about when he speaks of hearing God’s “voice.” He is. Provides one of the better known examples; see also God’s interaction with Abraham in Genesis 22. Tone –...

One Day at a Time. Monday, February 28, 2011. Yes, this post is about 2 months late.but better late than never! New Years Eve has always been a little overrated to me. Until the last few years, I would always get so excited for it, planning what I would do, who I would do it with and what I would wear for weeks ahead of time.only to be disappointed that it never turned out the way I imagined it should! Monday, February 28, 2011. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a SAHM to Max, my beautiful son, an...
