Getting to Chuckanut Center. We are located in Bellingham's South neighborhood, at 107 Chuckanut Drive North in Fairhaven Park, a short walk from the Fairhaven shopping district. Getting here on foot:. From Fairhaven, walk south on 12th St. and cross the Padden Creek bridge. We are immediately on your left after crossing the bridge. During the growing season our gardeners meet Thursday evenings from 5pm-dusk to prepare produce for pickup by the Bellingham Cargo Club. Produce is delivered to local neighbors in need and the Southside Food Bank. During the 'off season' volunteers help with general garden maintenance or specific projects. A brief history of the Caretakers House restoration. Click here for a brief history of the Caretakers House from 1914-2008. We removed 30 cubic yards of moldy basement contents, generally cleaned up the main floor and partially insulated the walls. Meanwhile we held a community design charrette to master plan the site.
