The bed’s undone. The girl is gone. And the radio’s on. 8220;Come fly with me, let’s fly, let’s fly away”. The doorbell’s ringing. But I’m not answering. I’m looking for a getaway. Émile Schuffenecker 1851 - 1934. Peintre un peu oublié mais figure exceptionnelle. Formé à l’Académie Suisse en 1872 avec Gauguin et à l’Académie Colarossi en 1883, Schuffenecker a d’abord suivi l’atelier privé de Paul Baudry en 1866. En 1869, élève du Père Athanase, il a reçu une mention de première sur le design . De 1872 à 1881, entraîné par Carolus-Duran, Schuffenecker a ses entrées au Salon annuel.
