Tales of Morocco and continued adventures Stateside. Sunday, May 1, 2011. Abundant Life and Sudden Death. Right now life is abundant. Spring is upon us and it blooms on the trees and jumps forth from the ground without restraint. The exception to the rule is death, but it sticks with me longer, sinks into my bones and confuses me, angers me, and brings me to question the unfairness of the world. How are there no walls when these peoples’ houses are fifty yards from the tracks? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tales of Morocco and continued adventures Stateside. Tuesday, May 15, 2012. Boat back to Fox Camp, where we got a tour and settled in. In the afternoon, we took some kayaks out around the point towards Two Harbors. On the way we spotted some seals and even a couple of curious common dolphins! Pacific kelp forests are so much cooler than I had expected. teeming with interesting sea life, everything from the Sea Hare. My new favorite invert) to abalones to myriad fish. Tales of Morocco and continued adventures Stateside. Sunday, February 6, 2011. Anton Clifford Vs. the Weather. It’s so easy to get up on a sunny day. I can hear that wind blowing and rain pouring just outside my window and I hunker down a little tighter in my blankets. Alarms are useless… only a nuisance. Because people were counting on me, and I had a set schedule. Here it’s not uncommon for me to hit the snooze five or six times. Zombie Snowman wants BRAINS! Miss all you guys. Tales of Morocco and continued adventures Stateside. Wednesday, June 13, 2012. I'm always a fan of these little vacations between jobs. While it's not the best for my finances, it gives me a chance to catch up with the people I care about, which is really much more important in my estimation. This last couple of weeks I have been in Thousand Oaks, San Diego, San Jose, Petaluma, Napa, Sacramento, and finally arriving in Portland. 1) Sailing a 16' Hobe Cat down in San Diego. 2) Getting to see my friend Soco.

Tales of Morocco and continued adventures Stateside. Friday, March 2, 2012. This past week has been fantastic as far as animal sightings go. Granted, there have been a lot of cool things prior to that. a day where we saw six foxes on the road, one night where we spooked a burrowing owl from our campsite, and I'm sure several others that are slipping my mind. However, this week takes the cake. 5) Seeing one of the banded. Bald eagles fly overhead. 4) Seeing my first black widow spider! At 20 mm it is tiny!
