It just doesn't make sense to me- my doctor told me that fish and olive oil (especially EVOO) are very good for the heart. However, when I began reading labels of these foods, they are very high in cholesterol. Can someone explain this to me? Thursday, January 7, 2010. Is it OK to fry with olive oil? I've heard you're not supposed to - why is that then? Is it OK to fry with olive oil? I only use olive oil for everything, salads, frying chips, omelettes etc, it is healthier than using sunflower oil don't worry to much about burning it, i've never done that yet and been using it for years. Yes it is more expensive especially in England, move to Spain oil is cheaper lol. Yeah olive oil is way much healthier than normal oil so yeah it's fine.
