ERCCIS – What's Wild in Cornwall

What's Wild in Cornwall. Wildlife things to do, see and think about in Cornwall. Why is biological recording important? The Marsh Fritillary, a protected butterfly species in the UK (photo: Amanda Scott). I am one of the kinds of people that I get really annoyed by. Well, that’s what I used to think. But I am now a convert to recording and to sharing my sightings. Here’s why. NB the ‘I’ is rhetorical here – I may be not very good at recording, but I’m not that bad! Here are a few links:. Goonhilly, catkins, water drops and an eclipse… – What's Wild in Cornwall

What's Wild in Cornwall. Wildlife things to do, see and think about in Cornwall. Goonhilly, catkins, water drops and an eclipse…. I went out to Goonhilly Downs on the day of the recent partial eclipse. I thought the wide open plateau of these ancient downs – farmed since prehistory and now a National Nature Reserve – would provide an excellent spot to view the eclipse. Goonhilly has so much sky. Willow catkins at Goonhilly (photo: Amanda Scott). March 23, 2015. March 23, 2015. What's wild in Cornwall.

Yellow Archangel – What's Wild in Cornwall
https://whatswildincornwall.com/tag/yellow-archangel
What's Wild in Cornwall. Wildlife things to do, see and think about in Cornwall. A walk down the lane. You don’t always have to wander very far in order to find joy in beautiful things. Place your feet outside your front door and simply walk, and who knows what you’ll discover? Aluminium Archangel – note the variegated leaves meaning this is not our native Yellow Archangel. Next time I spot Yellow Archangel, I hope it’s our British species. In the meantime, here’s a combative Speckled Woo...April 22, 2015.

Mapping the world for a new kind of human. Falmouth – A Procrastinator’s Guide. Asymp; 10 Comments. Sometimes, when the muse deserts me and I’m feeling too conscientious to watch a box set, but not conscientious enough to put pen to paper, I go for a walk. I’m not a lady who lunches, but I accidently managed to have lunch at the Courtyard Deli. Once I went for coffee, but was powerless against the charms of the menu, which flaunted itself at me shamelessly. I ate Cauliflower and Cumin Fritters, which...

Mapping the world for a new kind of human. Roma – con il Bounder. Asymp; 9 Comments. In February Bounder took me to Rome. I know! He was threatening Canvey Island, but came good in the end. I should just say, Bounder only takes me away in order to undermine me. I’ll be complaining to somebody about how he makes my life a daily living hell, and I see a look in their eyes which says “But he took you to Rome! You must be a monster! Anyway, Rome; score! As we flew into Rome, lightning struck The Vatican and ...
