Het Sicangu Lakota Youth Center. Het Sicangu Lakota Youth Center is gevestigd in Mission, South Dakota, in het hart van het Rosebud Reservaat. Wij blijven ons inzetten voor de Amerikaanse Indianen, door mensen beter bewust te maken van wat er zich daar afspeelt, en ze daadwerkelijk te ondersteunen door bij te dragen aan diverse projecten. De Lakota Sioux van het Pine Ridge Reservaat zijn de armste inwoners van de Verenigde Staten, op de voet gevolgd door hun buren in het Rosebud Reservaat. Wij houden ons niet bezig met politiek, maar luisteren naar de mensen ter plaatse. Help ons deze kinderen de jeugd en toekomst te geven die ze verdienen.

Support the North American Indians! De stichting zamelt geld in om de vaak in ellendige omstandigheden in reservaten levende Indianen te steunen. Tijdens de afgelopen winter zijn er ouderen in het Pine Ridge Reservaat in South Dakota doodgevroren, gewoonweg omdat er geen geld voor verwarming was. Veel kinderen en ouderen zijn ondervoed. De werkeloosheid is enorm, de levensverwachting is slechts 48 jaar voor mannen en 52 voor vrouwen. Uw steun is welkom! Voor de Nederlandse versie van deze website.
