Patchwork Fundamentals: December 2014
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Monday, December 8, 2014. After the Xmas rush is over and all's back to normal how about some sewing at a Summer School? I'm doing two different ones in January and this is the first one. It's my Strippy Sampler quilt, made using a variety of different techniques. There's "made fabric", curved piecing, foundation piecing, wonky flying geese, a traditional circle block and a wonky zig zag block with a touch of applique.

Patchwork Fundamentals: September 2014
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Monday, September 29, 2014. I've just returned from four days teaching at the Misty Mountains Getaway in Dorrigo, just inland from Coffs harbour. I had a total of 26 students doing five different projects and had a wow of a time. One group was working on the Noodle Box quilt-as-you-go. The one below had the most beautiful machine embroidery in the centre of each block and yes those are my toes. Monday, September 15, 2014.

A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Last weekend was my fourth visit to Snake Gully in Muswellbrook, a town in the Hunter Valley wine country. My hosts Liz and Robert are so welcoming it really feels like home with lots of country cooking thrown in. The projects for the workshop were Pickled Lillies. And the girls made a good start on both. They've made a new sign since my last visit - I didn't count the buttons but there were lots!

Patchwork Fundamentals: July 2014
http://chrisquilts.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
A blog about my classes and some amazing students' work. Some of my favourite quilts. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. How to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. Recently I had a major fail with one of my quilts. It resulted in cutting off the already quilted borders and rethinking the binding. I'd used this amazing African fabric for the pieced border and it was too beautiful to throw in the bin. What to do? Here is one border cut into strips about 12" long. You can see the quilting.
