http://teresagskitchen.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Friday, 29 May 2009. I have been very lax with my blog over recent weeks. I don't really have any excuses at all but life seems to have been very hectic over the past few weeks. I have been trying lots of new recipes and do my best to remember to photograph the finished results so hopefully I will have a bit more time now to post them here. This is the list of ingredients that is listed in the book for these cakes. This is to make 6 cakes. 1 can vanilla frosting. Brown, black and yellow food colouring.

Teresa's Kitchen: Lamb Shanks
http://teresagskitchen.blogspot.com/2009/03/lamb-shanks.html
Friday, 13 March 2009. So when I get home I had a good look through my cookery books so that I could decide on the best way to cook these. My butcher recommended long slow cooking and I found lots of wonderful recipes. In the end I decided to use some ideas from a recipe in one of my books but I made some changes. I cooked my lamb shanks for about three hours and they were divine. I served them with buttery mashed potato. They were a real hit and I'll definately get them again. This recipe serves 2.

Because every week I find myself obsessing over something. Monday, May 4, 2009. Pink Miso and Veggies. 6 cups of water or vegetable broth. This has been my go to beverage since I was a little girl. Whenever I feel a cold or sore throat coming on make a big batch of this and sip it through out the day. My theory is that the cayenne pepper gets into your body and heats things up to burn out the bad guys. And no, this is not a master cleanse thing. Cayenne, dash or two. Ginger, large piece. Honey, 1 cup.

Friday, 27 February 2009. Oven Baked Lamb Chops. Britsh sheep have an ability to thrive on fairly marginal land. They are therefore much less likely to be subjected to intensive farming. Lamb is a distinctive and flavoursome meat. There are some regional variations in taste and flavour which is the result of different breads and the variable quality and character of the grazing land. This recipe serves 2. 4 lamb chops (or more if you fancy it). 1 small onion peeled and chopped. 1 tablespoon double cream.

Teresa's Kitchen: December 2008
http://teresagskitchen.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Friday, 5 December 2008. Well I fancied something a bit different and was inspired by some pictures in an old magazine I found laying about. These little cakes are delicious and so simple to make. I made mine to be strawberry flavoured but I think raspberry, cherry or even lemon would be srumptious too. Half a teaspoon vanilla extract. 150g self raising flour. 2 tablespoons strawberry jam. For the fluffy frosting:. Preheat the oven to 180C. Line a 12 cup muffin pan with paper cases. Remove from the heat ...

Teresa's Kitchen: January 2009
http://teresagskitchen.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, 15 January 2009. I am a big fan of Nigella Lawson and have all of her books. So when her new Christmas book. There are many recipes in this book that I am looking forward to trying. I don't think this book is just for Christmas and I certainly won't be putting it away just yet. There is a recipe in this book called Girdlebuster Pie and I just had to try it. As I read the description I was drooling and who could resist it with a name like that. This is definately a winning recipe in our household.

Teresa's Kitchen: Happy Birthday Dad
http://teresagskitchen.blogspot.com/2009/06/happy-birthday-dad.html
Friday, 19 June 2009. Its my Dad's birthday today and I have spent this morning making him a birthday cake. I made my Dad's favourite cake which is a vanilla sponge and sandwiched 2 together with vanilla buttercream. I then used fondant icing to cover the cake and coloured some more icing a pale blue colour. With this I cut out some little blue star shapes and stuck them on the cake and then cut some ribbons from the icing. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the cake will survive the journey later.
