Jordan turned the big 3 in June and it was an opportunity to have a real summer party complete with water slide, wading pool, cake and ice cream. It was truly a madhouse but very fun and the kids had a blast. When it was all over, the house was still standing and no one got injured – thank goodness! Sunday night John and I went down to Anthology San Diego to catch show by The Steely Damned. It's been a long time since we last saw them, and they can still rock the house! It was quite an amazing lineup of local talent: Tripp Sprague on sax, Bob Tedde on lead vocals, and Ruby (from the Red Hots) on backup vocals, and the guys from Rockola. Snow Day Fun in Williams, AZ Jan 3, 2009. Snow day fun, California style. Good thing John brought his boogie board on the trip, we were able to go sledding and enjoy the snow. The boys had a snowball fight, make snow angels and built a snowman. This place is quite a gem - it was fun to stay in an old railcar, and Trocchios stayed in the caboose! Winter in the Grand Canyon Jan 2, 2009. This was our first time experiencing winter in the Grand Canyon, and I have to say I prefer visiting this time of year. It was a perfectly clear day and the park looked clean and peaceful with almost everything covered in white snow.
