草鄉是全國黃秋葵最大產地，佔全台7成以上。每到採收期，黃秋葵在經驗豐富的鹿草農民眼中，容易照顧但採收卻很費工夫，尤其體質過敏的人，更是拿黃秋葵沒輒，原因是植株上的絨毛，讓體質過敏的人一碰到皮膚就會奇癢無比。每到採收期，農民必須戴二層塑膠手套。而且要與老天爺賽跑，清晨三點多就要摸黑下田採收，再以人工分級包裝趕赴果菜批發市場，如果偷懶慢個一天，蒴果生長太快，長度超過十公分，果實纖維老化，就會喪失優質賣相。 嘉義市私立嘉華中學學生參加第56屆公私立高中彰雲嘉區比賽，以秋葵甲醇萃取抗氧化與抗腫瘤特性分析，證實秋葵甲醇萃取物具有良好的抗氧化能力與抑制大腸癌細胞生長特性，獲得高中生物植物組特優獎，推薦代表參加全國賽。 陳思如、陳思成姐弟，父母都是醫師，兩人就讀嘉華中學高中部，與同學薛湘雯組隊參加科展。陳思成說，很感謝林籐旺老師的指導與學校良好儀器實驗，才有驚人發現，現在都叫家人「多吃秋葵」。 訂閱： 張貼留言 (Atom). 輕柔雅緻主題. 技術提供： Blogger.

秋過後，鹿草往義竹163縣道上會擺出一個個菱角招牌來，宣告了鹿草菱角收成的季節開始了。 提到菱角，很多人直覺就想到台南官田，但卻不知道我們嘉義縣鹿草鄉的菱角品質及口感一點也不輸給官田呢！據說二十多年前，鹿草地區只有一戶種植菱角，直至今日，行經鹿草鄉時許多地方均可看見菱角田，而種植面積主要分布後寮、重寮一帶。 12288; 菱角，台語俗稱「龍角」，屬一年生草本水生植物，喜歡高溫、多日照、多濕的氣候環境，葉片扁平光滑，顏色近墨綠色，葉柄肥又中多孔隙可儲藏水中氧氣，以利葉盤浮於水面。菱角田分深水與淺水兩種，又以淺水田最為常見，在盛產期常可見農夫帶著鋁盆踩入水田中逐棵採收。 12288; 栽種菱角必須有充足水份並穩定水位，水的深度並無一定，端看田有多深水就可加到多深，水越深日光越照不到菱角的根莖，夏季水溫才不易升高，菱角生長才會越好。如果土質好，一株菱角幼苗甚至可長滿一個客廳大。 12288; 菱角果實因垂生又被密葉覆蓋，故多需人力將整株倒翻才可看到，採收期常可見採菱人在水田中彎腰工作，採收菱角需直接用手採摘到蒂頭。 蕃茄的種類繁多，表皮顏色分佈在粉紅到深紅之間。雖然蕃茄含有大量的檸...鹿草地區的鹿東村...
