The Cypress Trees are Talking Now: June 2011

http://cypresstrees.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html

The Cypress Trees are Talking Now. Saturday, June 11, 2011. Great racing so far! Alan McNish ran into the #58 Ferrari and the #3 rolled, threw a tyre at a photographer and caused some scary moments. #58 got back to the pits and should be good to go. #3 is very very much out of the race, Alan looks to be okay. Safety car was out for 1 hour 9 minutes. Great racing so far! 10 shunt at Indianapolis (I think). Limped back to the garage on three wheels. Fantastic race so far this year! NOSE TO TAIL. All fo...

The Cypress Trees are Talking Now: February 2011

http://cypresstrees.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

The Cypress Trees are Talking Now. Friday, February 18, 2011. Mary Wollstonecraft Godwin Shelley’s Frankenstein. Is one of those experiences for me. I have, since first reading it, consistently placed it near the first books thought of when the word “favorite” or “best” comes into play. This semester, my final in college, I finally read Frankenstein. Again, and this time in a classroom. Needless to say, I am enjoying it immensely. However, an interesting thing happened the other day. Creed. It was foreto...

The Cypress Trees are Talking Now: October 2011

http://cypresstrees.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

The Cypress Trees are Talking Now. Monday, October 24, 2011. Burn miles and cheeks. Pass valleys, dams here. Where I used to live. No time to stop now. Amongst clouds, glaciers. Switch backs to get there. Switch backs to get down. Front of ferry line. Hurricane ridge caught in calm. Night in Twilight wood. Dwarf human forms. Offshore rocks. Guilty of beauty, and murder. Cloudbank moves inland,. Cape Kiwanda covered up,. Cigars and campfire still lit,. Painted hills, sculpted. Too scared to inspect.

Tobacco Poetry: February 2011

http://tobaccopoetry.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html

Some dudes writing poetry with tobacco. This ought to go well. Monday, February 28, 2011. Tobacco Poem III, by Creed Thie. The French Vanilla bears a sweetened scent,. But yet, alas! Its flavor's somewhat dry. Burns fast away, 'tis verily its bent:. So fast is it used up, so doth it fly. Exhausted thus, the humidor's toback;. Instead proceeds Nougat d'Couer'd'Alene:. Of fine and blended taste and smell it smacks,. Yet keeping lit with it is quite a pain. Peaches and Cream, full sweetened, breathing light,.

Some dudes writing poetry with tobacco. This ought to go well. Saturday, January 29, 2011. Tobacco Poem II, Creed Thie, with a Preface. Twas yestermonth in yesteryear my last poem was wrote:. A rhymeless Dodectuplet of tobacco-praising note. Twas amply criticized for use of vapid Fragrant words;. And so indeed I promised to heed this warning that I heard. But then upon a further discourse in this blag's concerne. It was foretold to me that I would not to here return:. For what do you bless me instead?

Tobacco Poetry: Atticus 06/27/12

http://tobaccopoetry.blogspot.com/2012/06/atticus-062712.html

Some dudes writing poetry with tobacco. This ought to go well. Friday, June 29, 2012. Shade-dappled, mocha steaming, slightly hidden. In a café alleyway, the smoke from my Ruination. Gliding – the only cloud on this blazing day –. As the street passes by, left to right. Temporary sanctuary, granted by the owner’s wink. And the mention of increased fines, has cost me:. 1 Ave Maria St. 1 promise to stop, if asked. The book lies unopened, the cell. Set to vibrate, hospital rooms. And bills and ex-wives.

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. The Methods and Nature of Ancient History. The methods employed are the same as a detective’s methods. There are primary sources or the witnesses and there are secondary sources, which for every degree of removal away from the historic event the source’s credibility is damaged. How then are we to approach ancient history? Those with money invest in the future. What could possibly convince them otherwise? The big question: how easily could that have come? Morle...

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. Phil 361 - Relevancy of Ethics in Business. Is necessary to finishing the task. Therefore, we must pursue the questions and uncertainties that. Presents us if we want to operate in business. Lastly, can a good business be unethical? Remains the only cost efficient (no pun intended) way for us machines to accomplish our tasks. Business needs ethics just as much as we presume non-businesses needs ethics. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Evan Gunn and His Muse.

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. War and Fights in the Classroom. During the Fall semester of 2012, I was fulfilling some of my core curriculum at the University of Idaho. It was an Integrated Seminar (Isem) class which is the kind of thing that is supposed “broaden” your mind and knowledge of your world; the purpose was to give you another accomplishment to make you more interesting and less bigoted. Our teacher was a nice lady whose main goal was for us to be educated about the “real&...

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. The Elizabethan Era: Its People and Perspective. The Elizabethan Era is known for significant military action and great accomplishments in the liberal arts. When this era is referenced it commonly delves into Shakespeare’s plays or Queen Elizabeth’s political prowess. But there is an ignored part of this history; for instance when historians take a look at the French Revolution the mythology, beliefs, philosophy and religion secure the most attention. Conseque...

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. Bearing itself in honest dire woe,. Reveals to Him an unrelenting foe,. In sin, using, abused glory’s grace,. Trembled again, repents to find his face. Whose body did he charge to live anew,. Grown amongst thorns, the pleasures, care returns. Half turned (a child is still more gracious true),. Guilty mind, but escaping shame that burns. These lips that honor, praise increases more,. To Him, while it had planned to sin before. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. You all hold into comparison to the son of perdition! Many women began to weep at these words, but the Preacher continued. "Mourning shall not save you of your evil deeds! Vile in all your thought; marching to destruction. The sins you commit shall be re-payed in full and with tremendous interest.". Forever and Ever, Amen: Rare Ben

http://homagetotacitus.blogspot.com/p/short-story-rare-ben.html

Forever and Ever, Amen. Aut Pax, Aut Bellum. This is a very short story I wrote. If you read it and critiqued it, it will be much appreciated. Will heard the beckoning call of his ball and chain he called "companion" and saw that everyone had submitted their attention to the two and their relationship, which inconveniently existed on opposite ends of the Mermaid. "Billy, come on over! Billy, good Billy! How is my most enjoyed play-write friend? Ben released a benefit-of-the-doubt grunt as though he knew ...
