http://joycecambron.blogspot.com/2012/06/woman-with-pitcher-homage-to-vermeer.html
Paintings, drawings, work in progress, occasional notes on materials and process. Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Woman with a Pitcher (Homage to Vermeer). Here is the finished painting. It's 16" x 18", oil on linen. Inspired by Vermeer's Young Woman with a Water Pitcher. Which is at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City. The map on the back wall is " A New Map of the Country of Carolina. The pitcher was made by Brad Tucker. Whose work I love and who Chris used to know back in the day at Cedar Creek.

OK more like lattes. It just hit me one morning, bundled up in the 10-degree winter air, milking the cows as usual, the glass warming my fingers as it filled with milk. I needed more coffee. Anyway, I was inspired to make my own old-fashioned cappuccino. We already had a stovetop espresso maker that I'd been using regularly. The foam was a little bubbly, and it quickly turned into an iced latte, but it was pretty amazing, in my humble opinion. Monday, January 24, 2011 6:10 AM. 28 previous fields of study:.

Joyce Cambron: Self-portrait in pastel
http://joycecambron.blogspot.com/2013/12/self-portrait-in-pastel.html
Paintings, drawings, work in progress, occasional notes on materials and process. Friday, December 6, 2013. On a half-sheet of, I think, gray Ingres paper. Which is now apparently made by Canson. Ellen Eagle's book Pastel Painting Atelier. Appeared at my local library and I found it very inspiring. Her work (at least in the book) is mostly portraits; her drawing is lovely and her pastel technique both skillful and somehow relaxed. January 8, 2014 at 3:28 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
