My name is Darcy. I live in California, and I (hopefully) will be spending my sophomore year (09-10) in Argentina as a foreign exchange student. I submitted my full-application on January 11 and had my interview with my local AFS volunteer the following day, January 12. As of now, I'm not officially. Accepted. Buuuut, I think I have a pretty good chance. Four weeks of the four-to-six week waiting period have passed, so I guess I'll know soon! And so they can keep up with what I'm doing. E are you living?

Oooohhhgh. It's been five weeks. Five weeks and a day since I clicked "submit" on my full application. Five weeks exactly since I had my interview with my local AFS volunteers. Five weeks, and no official word of acceptance. yet! They said it would take 4-6 weeks to be accepted. (Then again, I've talked to some other people who told me that. well. it can end up being more like 6-8 weeks! For now, I'm content with chatting it up with my. Overall, I'm just. waiting. I bought a gigantic. Not really a tossup.

Later in the day after we went to the border we went to the mountains, specifically to the on with the Harzburg (kinda a castle) and we rode the Burgbahn up and walked down. it was a long walk! And we took a wrong turn. oops! I got some amazing pictures and a great story to tell. Perfection. Wilkommen zu Deutschland. Me living the dream. The wall of the burg. crazy huge! There and Back Again. Wednesday, May 25, 2011. It’s hard really. Remembering I mean. It’s been one year and it feels like yesterday. Looking back my exchange seemed to never end and yet it ended too soon. Weird how time does that right? The year back has been probably the fastest ever. Most likely cause I threw myself into my school and work and buried my head under ground and once in a while came up for air. I also went to Germany three times. Wait, they told us that?
