Boys will be boys. It took us over 9 years but we finally made it back to Southern California for a quick visit. I wish we would have done it many years ago, but better late than never! We always planned on taking the boys to Disneyland, but with family reunions, school, and busy work schedules it just hadn't happened.yet. My mom called and offered to watch the boys so how could we resist a trip for the two of us? Luckily our great friends Darcy and Curtis are still the area which made it extra fun.

Boys will be boys. I can't believe my baby is 6 years old! Where does the time go? Only in Idaho can you find a place like this in the middle of "nowhere". This hidden gem was way out in farm country. It is the most amazing set up on someone's personal property. Everyone had so much fun! I'm already excited about next year! Dawson didn't slide much, but had fun watching and being the water master. That's Dave on the zip line. I think Ernie said this was the funnest she had ever had. Fly through my window.

Boys will be boys. I'm happy to say that HE DID IT! Dave is an IRONMAN! He finished in 16:32, (at 11:30pm) just a half hour shy of the cut off and he loved it! It was very inspiring just to be a part of it. It was especially great to have both of our parents there to cheer him on throughout the day. Dave's parents, the kids and I, and Rob were all able to be at the finish line which was awesome! More on the rest of our trip later. 1 You are humble, even too humble sometimes. 10 You are kind to everyone.

Boys will be boys. This year I was invited to a Mother's Day tea at Dallin's. Preschool. Dallin greeted me with a flower and a hug and wished me a happy mother's day. Then we took a picture together. Boys will be boys. What we've been up to. Since it's been practically a year since I blogged, I thought I'd share a few highlights of the year so far. Hopefully I can follow up with more details later! Dawson turned 4 years old in January! According to him it was "the best birthday party ever! We all went skiing as a family. Even me! Boys will be boys. It was so charming and picture perfect as we pulled into the bay. Everyone there rides golf carts so we had to take one out for a spin. We quickly learned that a golf cart doesn't get you very far on the island since most of the areas restricted from the rentals. It was a fun thing to do for a couple hours. One of the funnest things we've ever done! There were 5 different zip lines we got to do, the views were fantastic, and our guides were so much fun. Way to celebrate big!

Because of traffic and trying to get out of the San Bernidino Valley we did not make it to Vegas until around Midnight Thursday night. Friday morning we went to the top of the Stratosphere and then continued onto Salt Lake City thus ending our trip on Saturday afternoon. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Dani and I went to the Olympic park in Park city it was really cool and fun! There were people practicing! We also went down a huge zip line it was so cool! Us on the gondola it was really sunny which is why I cant see! Used in actual Olympics. Crazy horse thing on the wall. Ya thats me lol! Oquirrh Mountain Utah Temple Open House. Thursday, April 2, 2009. South Dakota and Mt. Rushmore. We drove to Drew's conference tournament with SUU and on the way home stopped at Mt. Rushmore. It had just snowed and was beautiful! Drew's team won one and lost to the conference champs, North Dakota State. It was a lot of driving, but worth it. Our Visit to Spokane 3/09.
