Tuesday, January 8, 2013. I know it's been months since I've blogged and since I've even read some of my favorite blogs, I need to play catch up! Life threw me a few curve balls last year and the desire to blog just wasn't there anymore. Although I was still working on my fitness and health, running took a back seat and since this was originally a running blog I just didn't feel inspired to blog. But I'm ready to start fresh and hopefully with that start blogging more. A collage of the last few weeks.

Not Unless I'm Being Chased…. I started running in August of last year because on a whim, I decided to run a 5K for which I had done almost NO training. The run itself wasn’t anything to write home about, but what it inspired me to do was keep running. Run a half marathon, run a full marathon, run run run until I had met my goals. When I started running, I could make it just one quarter mile. Around our neighborhood before breathlessness and exhaustion. Why isn’t this easier. It means I am a runner.

Life can only be taken one step at a time. The speed and the direction is up to you. Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Well that was a bit of a busy week. Quick summary:. Tue - 3K clinic run - very painful. Had to walk as it felt like something was going to snap along my shins. Went to the group run and did about a 5K tempo runs (3 min hard, 2 min recovery, 2 min hard, 2 min recovery, 1 min hard, 2 min recovery, repeat). Had some pain, but it was better than Tuesday. Sat - Crazy day! Not boring at all Heidi.

I have done this twice now, and both times felt fantastic the day of the race. I think for my upcoming half marathon I will extend this to maybe 3 days prior. It seems to agree with me.
